Literature review
The project will utilize three peer-reviewed journals. I will evaluate the existing literature on this topic by comparing similar ideas and themes, looking at conflicting ideas, and examining their strengths and weaknesses.
Procedures
The steps to complete this project are collecting information on workplace violence from day 1-5, researching issues like strategies on how to address each risk, and risk factor from the 6th day until the 11th day, and then develop the policy by designing various programs by day 27. From day 28 to 46, implement the prevention programs, monitor their application, and make changes.
Expected outcomes
The expected outcomes that will define the success of the project will include approval of the project, application of the violence prevention programs, accomplishment of the set goals, and reduction of violence by 20% in six months.
Personal/Professional Expectations
There are multiple things I intended to gain both personally and professionally by doing this project. My main wish is to make a difference in the nursing field by improving nurses’ workplace. I intend to see a change in the safety of nurses and consequently promote job satisfaction for the current and future nurses in the facility. This will be a professional gain, as I will improve nursing. My other expected professional benefit is increasing my knowledge of healthcare. I wish to learn about current issues in healthcare, including guidelines and regulations. I know I will do a lot of research on this topic, which will expose me to new information. As for my personal expectation, my first one is to improve my problem-solving skills such that I can handle complex problems. I also wish to understand the process of addressing problems and coming up with creative solutions. I also hope to get a feeling of accomplishing something challenging since this project is significant, and it will impact a lot of people.
