Personal Professional Goals
While in high school, my teacher frequently reminded me that education was the key to success, and if I would succeed in it should use it to help others. I was born in Snohomish, characterized by mixed socioeconomic culture due to the large population. Nonetheless, my parents managed to work relentlessly to ensure that I continue with my studies. It has always been my wish to transform my community, which has motivated me to utilize my education opportunity to achieve that dream. Hence, I strive to attain a doctoral degree in business management, which has been my professional goal. On that account, I developed my interest in the business from my own experience, being surrounded by both poor and rich people and generally raised in a business-oriented community. Inversely, some of my colleagues dropped out of school due to lack of school fees or to look after their ailing parents who could not afford medical treatments. Concurrently, my family slept hungry several times to save money for my education. Eventually, I believe one day, I will attain not only my degree but adequate knowledge and skill to transform my community.
Nevertheless, achieving such a high level of education is not a walk in the park. Hence I have taken early steps to remain in the truck. I am a member of a business club in the school, where I vice-chair the club. On that note, the club discusses many issues concerning the community and suggest various methods that we can use to solve such problems, hence, sometimes we walk and interact with the society to test such solution, as well as gather more information about the business. Secondly, my community has attracted several investment programs due to its economic status. Such investors stet up short business training, which I have taken advantage of to enroll so that I can learn more and create networks; eventually, some people have promised to support my further studies. Further, I always attend seminars concerning investments. More importantly, I have opened a small business from some allowances I got from such training as one way of raising school fees.
More so, whenever there is business motivational talk, especially during school holidays, I always participate, to enrich my skills and knowledge concerning wise investments, which I believe will boost me in future studies, such as in project assignments. Perhaps, when I get into university or after, I would like to have some community activities to educate residents on how they can uplift their living standards, source donors to open up projects within the community. Notably, after completion of my studies, it will be my great pleasure to give back to the community by partnering with prominent business individuals to transform society through training and support. Especially the less fortunate individuals, and more importantly, advocate and challenge the government to create a favourable environment for businesses.
Nevertheless, it is essential to give credit where necessary. Western Washington University is keen on ensuring every student achieve his/her dreams. Importantly, the institution works closely with the community, which matches my interest; hence it will give me chances to interact with the community as I strive to learn more from different societies. Additionally, the university has during and after school programs that I can connect my community to benefit more.
