Case Study of Jane Doe
Jane Doe is a very hardworking woman who easily understands the consumers and works for her best to ensure that they are all satisfied. Because of her promising career, Jane is promoted to become an associate director where her first task is to oversee the consumer quality and satisfaction as a way of supporting the mission and vision of the hospital (Borkowski, 2016). From the information provided, it can be said that Jane’s source her expert (Sage Reference, n.d.). Jane has just been promoted in her six months, meaning that she is an expert enough to solve the various problems affecting the hospital.
Jane’s first task is to develop a campaign aimed at the adult learners where she faces a challenge of a 32-year-old man named John and who is reluctant to participate. For this matter, Jane has to employ soft influence tactics such as telling the advantages and the disadvantages of the project, providing him with the samples of the case studies, and assuring him of compensation if the project fails (Corkindale, 2011). Through this, John would be persuaded enough and support the project. In addition to the soft influencing tactics, Jane should look presentable and professional while addressing John. She should be neat in a way that John would get convinced that what he is being told is true (McNutt & Nygren, 2013). It will also be good if Jane uses the relevant terminologies while addressing John and let him believe in whatever she says. Jane’s influence on Jane will benefit the organization more than herself. For that matter, Jane should address the positive side of the organization since it is the organization that would be liable if things do not work, as John was expecting (Schein & Schein, 2016).
