Differences in analyses

According to Mackenzie, she analyzed the issue of the issue where a company focuses on making money using unethical ways that land them in trouble. She attributed this issue of unethical greed for money on the toxic leadership of a company. Just like the case of Volkswagen, the manager just wanted the company to make money without fail. She further explained the cause of a company fails where people are so selfish with their interests leaving the company in the wrong direction and also companies like being given incentives to facilitate work, which is not working in a Godly environment. She pointed out the verse which explains that nothing was done under the darkness that cannot be relieved, and also the lawyers should be vigilant in identifying issues in the company before going out by collaborating with excellent and transparent leaders in contrast to my analysis, I explained on how transparency, ethical culture, and communication is significant for an organization (Ho, 2018). I saw it was good for a company to have culture among employees and plan for any forward failures rather than fixed only in making money. I also analyzed the position of a CEO where one has to be responsible, create a good working culture, initiate firing departments for those individuals who violate the rules of the organization to prevent piling up of mistakes that causes failure.

Difference in analyses

According to Lindsey, she focused on the ethical practices of the lawyers. The lawyers needed to be very proactive in the management of an organization. In the Volkswagen company, the lawyers covered the wrong deeds which were unethical, the lawyers knew the engineering we’re not doing the right thing in the production of vehicles, but they never took any action. The lawyers went ahead, defending the unethical practices that were practiced for people to make money. From this case, Lindsley saw the lawyers as the critical people in the failure of Volkswagen because they would have solved the issue before it goes to public attention, on the other hand, I mainly focused on the employees and the leaders. In my case, I saw it necessary for the leaders to be transparent, have discipline, and have the right values of work. The employees, on the other hand, should have a good working relation, good communication skills, and always work hard to grow but not making money for the organization but focus on their personal growth (Blackwelder et al., 2016). The employees should be disciplined and avoid breaking the laws, and responsibility among the leaders is also crucial. They should fire those irresponsible employees and take challenges that promote the culture of an organization in the proper ways.

 

 

Application

According to the failure of the Volkwagen company, the use of the relevant laws made my conclusion of the situation different. First and foremost, I emphasized transparency, where things should be done in broad light. Leaders and employees should be open to each other in whats taking place in the company. Leaders should cultivate a pleasant environment where people work together as a team . Ethical considerations should be the backbone of every organization where they should always work to produce things ethically without using backdoor aims of making money (Cavico & Mujtaba, 2016). I also considered the cultivation of an ethical culture where the company has good communication among its staff and discipline among its members to prevent the breaking of rules that causes the failure of an organization.

Finally, according to my difference in the conclusion, I did not only focus on the problem itself, but instead, I emphasized a growing company. This is a company that focuses on the ever-increasing aspect rather than being fixed in only making money, and through this, I gave the example of John Maxwell, who pinned down the idea of failing forward. This was so relevant to the company of Volkwagen, where he was only focused on making money and saw that he was not going to fail in any way. Furthermore, the difference in conclusion in focus on the growing aspect is where the employees are supposed to be innovative in that they should not use unethical means in making the company succeed. Still, instead, they should grow by learning the mistakes of their company. This aspect of growing made my conclusion different from the rest.
