The reports should contain short desсrіptions of the laboratory experiment. Each report should be should be typed (2 – 3 pages in length). The report describes what you did, why you did it, what you found out, and how it relates to previous research. 1) In the Introduction section say what previous research has been done, and what psychological questions they were trying to answer. 2) In the Introduction state the experimental hypothesis for your experiment, and include the independent variable and the dependent variables. 3) In the Method section describe what you did, the equipment you used, and the sequence of events (also known as the procedure). An example of a trial for each experimental condition will help make it clear to the reader. 4) Results. Describe your results by reporting the mean for each condition (in the text or in a table) and include a graph of the results. For some reports you will include the statistical tests you used and the result of the tests. Say whether your results support the hypothesis. 5) Discussion & References. Say how your results compared to previous research. Describe any limitations of your study.
