Name of the Agency

The name of the agency is Sober Living America, and I chose this agency to find out how the agency helps individuals with drug and alcohol addiction to their road of recovery.

Brief History of the Agency and mission

In 1994, the founder quit his insurance career to establish Peachford House after getting sober and clean (“Addiction Treatment Services | Sober Housing | Sober Living America”, 2020). Peachford house provided residential recovery to drug and alcohol addicts. Sober Living America (SLA0 was founded in 2002 to provide clothing and food (basic needs) to Peachford customers – services that are provided by the community. SLA has grown to provide a sober and safe living environment for individuals beginning their recovery from drug and alcohol abuse despite their financial condition.

The people the agency (Sober Living America) serves are individuals fighting alcohol and drug addiction and lack enough money for housing and acquiring medical recovery services.

Services offered by the agency

Sober Living America offers housing and transportation services to individuals fighting addiction and has do not have money or a job. SLA also offers recovery education as they teach career, life skills, and spiritual education. For the individuals who have completed the program, get the opportunity to be natured in terms of career as the company has a good relationship with various local staffing companies.

Criteria client must meet to be served by Sober Living America

The agency does not have proper criteria for its clients, but it mainly serves jobless and homeless addicts who do not have money from proper medical care and rehabilitation.
