better and universal healthcare for all the Americans

The federal government did not regulate the health sector in the united states of America for quite a long time, and as a result, most government policies were centered around superficial policing that aimed at protecting the public through policies against health risks. Even with the policies, it is in records that America left the health matters to be handled by the private sector (Williams & Torrens, 2008). As a result of the least direct government involvement and intervention in the health sector, the health insurance policies created then were primarily based on private financing or employer-based, which did not make the health services available and affordable across all the social classes and majorly to the unemployed.

Following the need for better and universal healthcare for all the Americans, in the later years dating to the years after 1953, there was improved government interventions and procedures that aimed at streamlining the health sector especially concerning financing and insurance plans which ensured that the health sector would be funded by the public (Charles E & Stephen T, 2017). As a result, various health care policies and insurance plans were established by the federal government as government intervention. In 2011, for instance, The Affordable care act enacted in 2011 saw significant improvements in the number of health insured citizens and saw an increase in either free or subsidized medical care.

It is, however, worrying to note that even with the government involvement in the health sector, there are no precise planning and centralized health systems and organizational structures that can be entrusted with the task of coming up with knowledgeable health reforms (Dewar, 2018). Due to the lack of such systems, the American health sector is now driven by financing and health insurance policies. With decentralized systems, there are no detailed organizational structures that regulate and play administrative roles in ensuring that relevant legal activities and health policies are carried out. The decentralization and unclear planning create room for possible manipulations and discrepancies in the health sector, thus having the effect of endangering the otherwise good health care policies.
