- Main point #1: The murder of the three boys and how he abused his nephew, Sanford Clark.

- According to Mellor (34), Walter Collins disappeared on March 10th, 1928, and Gordon was thought to be the killer though his mother had already confessed to the murder.
- Lewis and Nelson Winslow were kidnapped from their Pomona home on May 16th, 1928. They had also been picked by Northcott to work on his farm.
- The headless Mexican was another boy who had been abducted, tortured, molested, and killed by Northcott though his identity remains a mystery.
