I have called you Mom and Dad so that I can discuss an issue that I think is best for us all. As per my understanding and the time, we have stayed together, I have experienced your love as my parents and hope you will admit to my suggestion and support me towards achieving the goal. Again, out of all the things I have demanded from you, I have received total support from you.

For example, when I went out for the volleyball team and spent the entire season on the bench when I got a D in French, and when I went on my first date with the awful Tommy Sandal, you never gave up on me, but continuously supported me. Now, I want a ‘big’ favor from you, of which I think you will admit to because I believe it will be of enormous help for the whole family and me too.

Thesis statement: I want you to buy me a car.

However, I first want to explain to you the reason I made this choice because you may not have expected much from me. From my thinking, I have the sense to manage a car based on the fact that my mind has well developed and I had to raise a solution to our usual lifestyle and move to another level as we have all been very hardworking and we deserve a healthful lifestyle. I promise to take all the responsibilities to ensure that the car will be in good condition.

For instance, I will keep the car clean and remarkable such that it qualifies to be parked in this compound. Also, I will ensure that the vehicle is serviced regularly, examining tires and ensuring that the engine is in the best condition so that it remains in good working condition all the time. I will further adhere to the safety measures on the road by checking its safety compliance annually. Again, I will drive with a lot of care to ensure that I do not endanger my passengers as well as my fellow drivers on the road.

I need this car so that I can be able to relieve you, mom, from this burden of driving since it is not the best part for you. If you buy me the car, I shall be transporting everything needed in the family. I will use the vehicle in the morning to take boys to school and later on the go for them in the afternoon after classes. In addition to this, I shall be using the car to make Gerald to play with his friends and take Bobby for his basketball practices. Mom, I shall use the vehicle to help you go for grocery shopping, you shall only be giving me a list then I shall be doing everything for you mom. Just think of how you have to drive me to places since I have no car, this task will end up if you buy me a car.

The last point is that you have to show a sense of trust in me and that you believe that I am growing to an adult.  Trust is much important between a child and her parent’s failure to this one can become independent. Dad, imagine how often I call you asking for more money while in college because I spent food money on concert tickets, which I pay to attend morning classes. Both carol and Mimi’s parents have shown their trust in them by buying them automobiles.

Finally, I don’t want to pressure you, but I will be heartbroken if you say it is out of the question. I know you would never want to see walking all over and feeling rejected, but o know you shall fulfill the best interests of my heart. I love you with my full soul though there is always room for the flow of more love. So, what do you say? I have already picked out the perfect Toyota Camry.
