Healthy and unhealthy foods

My favorite unhealthy foods include French fries, cookies and cakes, pizzas, and soda. Most of these are harmful because they contain a very high content of sugar or fats. To make these foods healthy, one should try and reduce the fat content in them and also reduce the amounts of sugar used to prepare the meals. Eating them on a few occasions would also help. One can also replace them with healthy foods like milk instead of soda, arrowroots instead of cakes and also choose foods with wholesome ingredients.

Some of the food supplements that I consume include foods fortified with supplements like calcium of vitamin B12. These supplements help to cover for the deficit that might be there in the foods that I eat. Eating much healthier food rich in nutrients can help reduce the need for using dietary supplements. This is because the nutrients that the body needs are available in the food we eat. However, the foods and the nutrients are not always readily available hence the need for supplements.

The homeless people are the most vulnerable to hunger in my community. To help solve this problem, coming up with a center for the homeless and then giving them the ability to start income-generating programs would help in solving this problem. The income-generating programs will help them to provide food and maybe shelter for themselves.

If my friend were going to eliminate all carbohydrates in his food, I would advise them to stop. This is because carbohydrates are energy giving foods. Without carbohydrates, the body will become weak, causing dizziness, headaches, and irritability. This leads to ketosis, which is not good for the body. I would advise my friend to eat low carbohydrates foods instead, like grains, other than avoiding them.

The low fat or no fat trend has been used in America as an effective way to avoid heart disease problems and other associated diseases. This has led to the low fat dietary becoming the dominant belief in healthy living. However, avoiding fats is not a good idea as dietary fats functions as building blocks for the body. They are an essential part of the growth and development of the body.

The hardest part of following my plate plan is how to implement it on the day to day life. For instance, how do I add fats and oil to my plate? How do I choose my proteins in every meal of the day? However, it is an excellent tool to help give you’re a broad spectrum of the foods that you can consume and still live a healthy life.

Any time that I am purchasing food that is not a common item on my shopping list, I have to look at the food labels. This helps me to get information like the expiry dates, ingredients, and storage or even how to prepare it. The most crucial labelings are the expiry dates and the ingredients. Ingredients will help you to avoid any allergic reactions you might have. Information like possible food pairing should be added to labels to make it easier for the consumers.

Other than hunger, factors like emotions (for example, stress), binge eating, or even site of delicious food, cause me to eat even when I am not hungry. Some triggers like delicious food have been there since childhood, while others like emotional eating have developed with time. I think the availability of food has made these triggers develop.

To become more physically active, one should engage in simple activities in their daily life that will help them remain fit. For example, taking the stairs instead of the elevator, walking instead of driving, walking around your place of work during brakes, engaging in active hobbies like hiking, doing simple workouts like sit-ups while in the house. These activities will help your body to break down the excess calories in your body to energy instead of storing them.

I think the reason why men are gaining more weight than before is because of the change in culture. Some time ago, men’s hobbies were considered to be involving sporting activities like football or even rugby. Currently, hobbies have changed to computer gaming, betting, or watching football matches. Such activities are not involving; hence there is the build-up of calories leading to an increase in body weight.

If I had an overweight friend, I would advise them to change their diet to limit the carbohydrates and fats to lower levels. They should also start undertaking involving activities and hobbies to help them break down their stored fats to lower and healthier levels. This will help them to maintain a healthy weight.

Change in cultural activities is the leading factor in overweight and obesity in the United States. Taking up hobbies that are not involving, like watching movies, increased uptake of fast foods, and a lifestyle that requires too much time on work without taking a break for other activities. This kind of lifestyle leads to increased gain in fats and body weight, leading to an unhealthy life.

To help curb childhood obesity in the United States, parents should change the lifestyle of their children. Children should be encouraged to do more physical activities than sedentary activities like watching TV. Parents should also provide good nutritious food to their children and avoid a lot of junk food. The child’s activities’ should be monitored to prevent them from becoming overweight or obese.

The media can influence how men and women perceive their body image. The media creates a particular perception and makes people believe to be the ideal image. For instance, the view that slender a woman is beautiful is a perception created by the media, and people believe its true. However, this is not usually the case in every situation. The media should uphold all body shapes to be ideal more, so one is healthy.

If I suspected that my friend has an eating disorder, I would first talk to them about the problem to make them understand that it is a problem. I would advise then to get treatment if the disorder is brought about by an ailment. They should also get nutritional counseling to help them solve their eating disorder and start eating in a heath way.
