The political (governmental) influence is seen as the community follows confusion teaching, mosaic laws, and traditional ideologies as required by the authority. The leadership in China determined what the people would do, which can be seen by the administration classifying the people and identified those that will study and sit for the exams. The fact that there were no female leaders made the community view women as inferior in comparison to the women. As a result, the women were oppressed and deprived of some rights and freedom by the whole community.

Another significant influence was from foreign nations. The community, though they resisted the signing of treaties with other countries, the superpower nations such as Britain fought them. They accessed and ruled some of the critical departments of the government. Another international influence is western education. Although the Chinese had their form of training, western culture education plays a significant role in influencing some careers, such as being a doctor. The excellent writing skills possed by Lu Xun also indicate foreign influence.

The charisma of resistance of Lu Xun toward the traditional ideology was also as a result of international influence. When he was a child, he used to behave just like the other Chinese people. However, the way he perceives things changed after the exposure to the outside world. He longed for change in his country since he saw it as an iron house. That explains why he enthusiastically wrote many stories in a manner then the Chinese people would understand. He wanted revolution for his people so that they would benefit their rights and freedom fully. Therefore, both national and international influencers affect the Chinese community.
