As a practitioner, testing language abilities may be challenging. Consequently, for a learner to grasp a language, they have to understand multiple concepts. Thus, as a language practitioner, I will employ the different aspects of the language in the test. In this case, I will focus on English language skills. Applying various elements such as past tense, present tense, and rhetoric questions is useful in testing the language skills of the student. I will also analyze the student’s ability to comprehend and understand the grammar and context used. The first test will be made up of an English passage from a book or paper. The main problem encountered in language testing is communication issues. However, the problem can be overcome through the use of technology. The current society has several useful translation apps. Alternatively, the student can learn the language bits by bits. However, technology can also influence the translation of some languages by interfering with intonation and wording. Thus, technology provides inaccurate translations in some cases, making it hard to master a new language. Finally, technology can also interfere with the assessment method and response tasks. Technology is sometimes ineffective since it can provide a contradictory explanation to the question or problem during an assessment. Perhaps, that is why most institutions require a teacher who is well conversant with both languages.
