Chris James Hogan is an American footballer who is currently a free agent. He is a player who has been both resilient and determined in his career.  has played as a wide receiver since his times in college to his football league career. His football career started at Ramapo High school, where he became prolific in his senior year. He moved to Penn State University for his college career which he continued with when he enrolled at Monmouth University. His professional career began at San Francisco 49ers from where he joined New York Giants. He later got contracts with Miami Dolphins, Buffalo Bulls, New England Patriots and Carolina Panthers. He later became a free agent. It was with the Patriots that he got his major career breakthrough ever since he has participated in two Super Bowl competitions and has been earning himself a position in the team’s line.

He was born on the 24th of October, 1987 in Wyckoff, New Jersey to James Hogan and Mary Hogan. He joined Ramapo High School in New Jersey where he participated in both football and lacrosse. He featured for the school in both sports during his senior year. His love for lacrosse saw him join Penn State University on a scholarship so that he would be instrumental in the establishment of a rising Nittany Lions Men’s Lacrosse Program. He featured for the school in Lacrosse competitions and scores 11 goals in his first season. As a sophomore, he scores 29 goals. He completed from Penn State in 2010 but was still viable to feature for a year in his college career. Taking advantage of his eligibility to function for a year, Hogan joined Mammoth University to play football. In that year stint, he had three touchdowns and 12 receptions from 174 receiving yards. He declared his interest for the NFL draft in 2011.

Hogan was not among the top prospects at the 2011 NFL draft; hence he was not selected. He joined the San Francisco 49ers as an undrafted free agent. The team laid him off in July 2011. He moved on to the New York Giants practise team in September 2011 but left after almost two weeks. He joined the Miami Dolphins’ practice squad in December 2011. He signed a reserve contract with them early the following year. The practise squad terminated his contract on the 11th of September, 2011.

The Buffalo Bills signed him on the 6th of November, 2012 into their practice squad. He was put in the football team in December 2012 and had his first career reception on the 3rd of October, 2013.  With the Bills, Hogan got a breakthrough and recorded 41 receptions for 426 yards and had four touchdowns. In 2015, he had his first career pass when he sent a four-yard pass to Tyrod Taylor. This pass was instrumental in giving his team a hard-fought victory over the Tennessee Titans. In 2015, he also had a four-yard rushing attempt, a first of his career. He finished that season with 36 receptions for 450 yards and two touchdowns.

On the 16th of March 2011, Hogan signed a three-year contract with the New England Patriots for $12 million, with a guarantee $7.5 million. Hogan Put up an outstanding performance in his first season, notching up four touchdowns and getting 38 receptions with 680 yards. He was instrumental in the team’s Super Bowl LI competition victory over Atlanta Falcons in 2017. The Patriots won with a record of 34-28 to lift the championship. Hogan had his second Super Bowl feature in the Super Bowl LII, where the Philadelphia Eagles defeated them with a score of 41-33. In 2019, he signed for the Carolina Panthers. The team placed him on injured reserve after just four games where he garnered three interceptions. In December 2019, he recovered and joined the team for training.
