Thank you, Professor Geiger. Ladies and gentlemen, relatives, staff, and my fellow graduates, I am humbled and privileged to speak to you on behalf of the graduate school. My name is Angelina Weber, and I am graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Law. I stand before you on this platform experiencing many martial emotions. Filled with a massive sense of pleasure and achievement, we finally made it. Every student graduating today has gone through an incredible journey to make it this far. You have persevered, soared, and finally today, you all officially become graduates, alumni of Westside School of Law. Congratulations! Graduates, you are aware this day is not only yours to you but also belongs to your relatives, siblings, children, and acquaintances. Your love and support have brought us to this grand instant.
From statistics, Westside School of Law is ranked as one of the top five schools of Law countrywide. Before I joined the school, I never believed in that, but studying here has made me even advocate that it is the best school countrywide. An African proverb says if you want to be fast, go alone but if you’re going to go far, go as a group. As a class, we have moved together, that’s why there is no height we have not reached. You can identify a Westside Lawyer on sight, and that’s because we have learned how to appear, do something, and be skilled on every stage. A Westside lawyer can be distinguished by what they utter since we become skilled at how to advocate with both intelligence and honesty. You can know a Westside Lawyer once they open their mind, as we are cultured that the rule and license of the law degree come hand in hand with a responsibility to make use of our voices to talk to individuals who would be left throbbing and useless. I include no reservation that the Westside school of Law has to lead us all nearer to true dignity because each day we spent at the school made us better people.
Graduation is not a final objective, but instead an element of a more significant passage. Life is a journey to let all the undertakings we’ve achieved throughout this course be a preliminary point for further achievements. We have one more moment in time for the school of Law, one more message. Make use of your powers of thoughts alongside with your skills of investigation. Trust your instinct and effort with all that you have to verify it right for the most vital decisions in your existence. Remember that the whole world is looking up to you, the poor, the rich, children, the old, women, and men. Desire faithfulness on top of all, apart from respect, keep in mind that fairness must always be present with sympathy. When you are able, cooperate, and if you find that you cannot collaborate, then do not. The way ahead won’t be simple; be prepared for obstacles and hard times. Not anything valuable is trouble-free, and that includes building our futures. As usual, we will forge ahead because we can attain our ideas since we deserve it.
As I finish this speech, I would like to desire every one of your victory in anything you pursue. Even though others won’t think so, we as a cohort have a lot to present to humanity. Henceforth, let us make choices with our best wellbeing at heart. Let us trust ourselves to reach our goals and fulfill our thoughts. Already we have taken the initial step by coming to this ceremony at the moment, and now, it’s time to take the next steps and build our lives. Thank you, everyone, for your time.
