Irvine company president authorized the project proposal to conserve the environment. The scheme will educate the Irvine city community on various methods of preserving water in the city. The society will be required to develop water recycling techniques, build water storage plants, and become more innovative, increasing and delivering water in the town since water is a big challenge in Orange County and especially in Irvine town. After this outreach, the municipality will minimize the water challenge. After this outreach program, the Irvine Company’s brand awareness will rise to a higher level, and new customers will recognize their services.

The main proposal focus was to come up with an outreach program that will bring the Irvine city community and the Irvine Company in touch. Executive Summary

Purpose: The outreach program will enable the Irvine Company to interact with a large community of Irvine city in environmental conservation. As per the 210 censuses, Irvine city has a population of 212,375 and an estimated population of 276,176 in 2018 with a median age of 34.4; this shows the youths dominate the community. 32.7% of the people in Irvine city is poor, among the most significant demographic living in poverty are women 18-24, followed by male 18-24 and the females 25-34. Irvine city is dominated by the White 50.5% and Asian 45.5%. These population statistics are an indication that Irvine city is enormous; several corporations have their national or international headquarters in Irvine city. This was an indication that Irvine Company is likely to compete with large companies in the market. Numerous higher institutions are located in Irvine city, for example, the University of California, Bradman University, Irvine Valley College, etc. The town is found in Orange County in California. Orange County population is 3,010,232 as per the 2010 census. Many new customers will realize the Irvine company product and services during the outreach. The society also will benefit as it will develop new skills and mechanisms to conserve water and live in a healthier environment.

Main findings: The Company realized the city has a vast population that had no idea of what the company offers, but after the Outreach, they realized what the company is all about and the product and services they offer.

Recommendations and Implementations: The company decided to adopt the cooperate outreach of joining the community in environmental conservation training every year. This was implemented by the company, including this in its annual planning schemes.

Project scope

The company decided to form a committee of 50 employees to conduct the outreach program. This committee was first taken through the various method of water conservation techniques and the importance of water conservation by experts. The importance of this training was to equip then to be able to educate the community efficiently. The committee would then divide themselves into five groups. Each group will travel to deferent places in the city to meet targeted city inhabitants and visit institutions and educate them on various techniques of conserving and preserving water. The training aimed mostly at learning institutions and usual city dwellers. These trainings were scheduled to take place for six months. The meetings were to be held in open-air venues, and at least 100 individuals are trained per day. The trainers were entitled 10$ per day to be paid by the company. The mission of the company was to ensure affordable and reliable water in the city of Irvine.

Methodology

Data collection

The oral interview was used to collect data for this study. The meeting was face to face with the Irvine company president. The question in the interview helped in structuring the proposal to meet the objectives of the company. A sample of company employees at managerial levels was involved to know how the relationship between the company and the community was. This was to tell whether or not the company has ever conducted an outreach program.

 

Findings

The outreach program improved the relationship and interaction between the Irvine Company and the community. The people in the city who had not ever heard of Irvine Company and their product were made aware of the company product. The employee who conducted the training had a great time interacting with the community, and through communicating, they increase their verbal skill. According to the president of the company, after they conducted the outreach, the company clients have increased, and they are making huge profits. The company products are the most popular in the city since the awareness edging out their competitors in the market.

The company need also to conduct an outreach program on risk management in workplaces. This will ensure the company educates the community on risk prevention such as fire and theft in the workplace. This will be an added advantage as the employees of the company will also gain knowledge of risk avoidance in the company, and the company will market its product during the outreach in the city. The other dissemination the company should consider engaging in is participating in sports events to help youth discover their talents in sports; this will promote their products to be more prevalent among people who love sports hence achieving the company objectives.

Recommendation

The company should focus on the environment conservation outreach program because the program involves a large number of people, and this is for the advantage of the company acquiring more customers.  The customers will build trust in the company’s product, hence prioritizing them over other companies’ products. The company should increase the period of the outreach program, ensuring all targeted people are attended. This will eliminate the feeling of isolation by the company from those left out in the past Outreach.

Business Impact

If the business implements these recommendations, the Irvine Company will be known globally as its performance will make it achieve its objective, and everyone will be talking about it. Due to its contribution to conserving the environment, the customers will have a feeling that the company values the wellbeing of society, and they will build trust in the company and its products. Non-governmental organizations will come in to collaborate with the company in helping to conserve the environment, and this will ensure many foreigners become customers to the company.

Implementation considerations

The implementation will require the dedication of the company and the sacrifice of the employees. The company will have to alter its planning to fix the outreach programs in its schedule. The budget of the company will also need to be revised to allocate some funds to the outreach program.

The organization will be required to lay strategies for the outreach programs and ensure the plans don’t interfere with other organization processes negatively.

The corporate outreach program has helped Irvine company to achieve its objectives. The company product has become popular in society, and customers have increased. This shows that the company should be engaged in many outreach programs as they are of importance to the company.
