A stereotype

A stereotype is a fixed and belief in a particular group of people. The prejudice is based on some truth, albeit or half-truth of a specific action that happened. Therefore, a leader requires a comprehensive and diverse understanding of one’s norms, beliefs, and assumptions, value systems, and unconscious biases. However, there is no problem with the similarities of the standards since it naturally appears in a community. The critical thing is the failure is when we fail to find common backgrounds.

Age is a stereotype that exists in our community. The middle-aged adults display their trade-off, more competent than warm. However, different age groups show different actions is the community. More so different ages perform various functions in the city. Leaders need to be conscious and aware of the diverse forms of culture when it comes to maturity in most workplaces. The older workers and women are considered unfit for mist jobs. It is to the energetic impact of the weak. However, this situation is intersecting identities of leadership stereotypes. Nervous people in the community cannot be fit in any leadership sector. Therefore, it is essential to consider age when it comes to leadership.

A gender stereotype is an example that exists in my community. This type indicates the features displayed in men and differently in women. Also, the roles that should be performed by both genders are different. This type of Stereotype can be essential and harmful, for instance, women are hurting, or women are weak. In leadership, it is necessary to acknowledge the different characteristics of these genders and recognize the rights and fundamental freedoms. For instance, men are expected to show agentic features such as striving for success and assertiveness. In contracts, women are expected to show more of communal understanding and personal caring for the individualized concerns for others (Tresh, 2019)

Increased education about the aging process could help reduce anxiety and stereotypes against the aging among those who are most responsible for prejudice against the elderly. Knowledge of the antecedents of bias toward the elderly is fundamental to promoting positive attitudes toward them. Aging influences the mood of the society concerning confronting capabilities (Donizzetti, 2019). The consultation is crucial is key to the elderly because they are aware of the origin of the culture and the norms of the community. Therefore, increased knowledge of the aging people can contribute to the reduction of the anxiety and Stereotype against those who are responsible for prejudice against the elderly. The experience promotes a positive attitude toward the aged, aging, and the young. Gender consideration might exist because it provides a platform in identifying the people who are energetic in developing the community. Gender beliefs cause its holder to make assumptions about the members of the subject group.

Essay 2

The diverse workforce contains employees of different gender and age. Workforce diversity is becoming an essential aspect of most small and large businesses. The diverse workforce has advantages and disadvantages for both the clients and the community. First, an increase in creativity, better overall productivity, and better ideas (Amaram, 2007). Employees from different backgrounds have different plans that contribute to the rise in the quality and quantity of the products. Secondly, to achieve the advantage of diversity, diverse training is essential to include cultural awareness and emotivity training. However, communication becomes a significant challenge in a diverse workforce. This is because different personnel comes from different cultural dimensions.

Moreover, in the case of leadership, decision making will be a challenge to the managing directors. Gender stereotyping is wrongful when it results in a violation or violations of human rights and fundamental freedoms. An example of this is the failure to criminalize marital rape based on the Stereotype of women as the sexual property of men. Another example is the failure of the justice system to hold perpetrators of sexual violence accountable based on stereotypical views about women’s appropriate sexual behavior.
