aAttachment Theory And Styles

 There exists an attachment theory, which helps to define the relationship between human beings. The most important fact about the theory is that it helps out every young child to develop a strong relationship with at least one of the primary caregivers, either emotionally and socially. This emotional and physical attachment would be very crucial for personal development. Therefore, there is a need for this theory to be taken into consideration during the growth of the kids. According to the attachment theory, I have developed some key styles which are very evident, which I believe are very significant for personal growth and that of the other people whom I relate with. Here are some of the styles:

The first style which I have adopted from the theory is secure attachment. In this case, is where I have securely felt more satisfied within my relationship despite the circumstances which I may go through. For instance, my children have felt secured due to the bold attachment, which I hold with the kids. It has helped them to be more independent and allow them to venture into the world. While exploring this kind of relationship, you can feel more secure and have a romantic relationship with your partner. I have felt secure and more connected with my partner, thus making me feel more freely, which is very important for the growth of the relationship. As an adult, I offer all the support needed to my partner without any distress, thus making the relationship, to be honest, safe, and open to each other.

Another attachment style which I have realized is the dismissive Avoidant attachment.  With this style, you tend to distance your emotion with your partner, which creates a considerable gap between the partners, thus affecting the relationship negatively. Partners in this kind of attachment will tend to isolate themselves and embrace “pseudo-independent,” thus ensuring they take on the parenting role for themselves. Most of these partners often focus solely on themselves, which could make them feel more isolated on looking for self- satisfaction. With this kind of relationship, it might make someone feel more connected, which is different from other styles. Also, people with this style will tend to focus more on inward growth and tend to distich any feeling and emotion from their loved ones.

I had a secure attachment with my parent, which was a good foundation base for the current relationship which I have. I was able to venture out and also independently explore the world, which helped me to grow. Due to the honesty, equality, and security which I had with the parent, I have adopted the same with my partner. I have maintained a secure attachment, which has enabled us to create a secure and honest relationship. There are a few barriers to secure attachment, which include a lack of personal commitment from a partner, which could lead to dismissive-avoidant attachment.

The music industry has been evolving over the years, with new development being made each year. Besides that, the number of songs which are released each year has been on the rise. Also, some new musicians have joined the industry, and their lyrics have been a blessing to the society, while others have been condemned by many due to the message of the lyrics and the image used. For instance, the main issue which has been outstanding in the music industry is sexism. Let consider the various artistic arts which have been prepared by various artist, which either supports or harm the image of sexism through the musical lyrics and videos.

Rap music has been the most listened to songs by many people and especially the young generation. Some videos and music lyrics have been used to support sexism. However, there have been several songs that have been released in the market which positively portray men and women, thus restoring the glory of rap music. For instance, “Run the World (Girls)” by Beyoncé is one of the many songs which has been released and positively portrays both men and women. Even though many people may consider the song as centered in empowering the girl child more, it helps to ensure there is good equality in the world. There is a need for both men and women to be considered more positively in the videos and also the musical lyrics.

On the other hand, some videos and music lyrics have portrayed disrespectfully to the women, which do not breed a justified culture. For instance, Robin Thicke “Blurred Lines” is one of the songs which does not depict a good image for the women and supports sexism. The lyrics which have been used in the songs despise the women, and this makes them feel less respected compared to the men in society, which leads to moral decay in society. The choice of the images in the song is naked women who are dancing, which do not reflect good characters among the women.

A few years ago, the music industry was criticized by many people in society due to the level of sexism. Some artists have used the images of the women in their videos which are more abusive and makes women feel more disrespected compared to their counterpart. For instance, most of the dancers in these songs dance while naked to make sure the songs hit in the market. However, this has been in the trend, which affected the industry a lot since kids can access the content on the YouTube channel.

Men and women are equal, and there is a need for the musician and other artists to ensure all the videos and music lyrics that get released in the market do not portray either gender negatively. These artists have used artistic work to disrespect women who should be discouraged in society. It is time the society takes control of the songs which are released in the market to ensure they have met the quality threshold and positively portray both men and women.
