ABSTRACT

The World Health Organization (WHO) defined Crisis as an event which negatively affects the topmost values existing in an organization, through the minimal time presented in the disposal of the scene which most of the time is unexpected. In the United States of America, crises such as Assault, rape, suicide, family violence and child abuse reports as per 2018 indicates that an average of 433,648 cases of rape was reported whereas suicide, family violence, child abuse and assault were 14.2%, 0.3-4%, and 25.3% and 0.25% per 100,000 individuals respectively (Couvillon, (Eds), 2019). The conditions impact to the victim’s emotion well- being, social, economic and political life as, and individuals in crisis tend to react differently from perceived, processed it as well as reacting to the information presented.

Crisis tends to affect the organization decisions in several ways regardless of the type which could be faith-based, non-profit, profit or of federal ruling. 30% of the organization existing in the United States of America, more so Texas, have experienced tension, uncertainty and stress features as a result of crisis occurrence. That has also added to their system of communication and leadership styles dysfunctional outcomes. A crisis is also a national problem as cases of family violence, suicide, assault; child abuse and rape affect the operation of the healthcare that, ought to help the victims get correct services. In conjunction, crisis agencies such as Suicide and Crisis Center for North Texas tend to try and provide different services such as counselling and referral to such support victims.

Introduction

Texas is the United States of America second-largest state which is located in the South Central geographical area of the USA and therefore shares borders with Louisiana and Arkansas in the east and west respectively. It has various local agencies helping with situation crisis such as Suicide, Rape, Assault, Child Abuse and Family Violence (Wood, (Eds), 2019). The agencies, on the other hand, include Crisis Center for of North Texas, Texas Commission on Law Enforcement and Texas Department of Criminal Justice. The goal of this essay is to identify two local resources understanding the different crises and providing overview information of the selected agencies.

The table below summarizes the different agencies in Texas offering crises assistance based on the type of crisis.

Abernathy Police Department and City Agency Rape Crisis Center; Rape Crisis Situation

In addition to other vital cases such as gender-based violence, murder and suicide, Abernathy Police Department and City Crisis Center play a big role in cases where individuals are rape. Among the services they offer is collaborating with rape victim facilitators and advocates who fight for the violated rights of the victim. And even when victims make official statement reports, they receive better treatments through effective communications they access (Schrag & Edmond, 2018). Also, the victims other than being counselled receive special prevention techniques in case they encounter the same serial next time.

Unfortunately, crisis where suicide is presented, agencies such as the Crisis Center for North Texas and Suicide Prevention Resource Agency provide various services which include;

• Offering a crisis line which is full of trained and caring personnel who are available 24/7 to listen and talk.
• They provide crisis debriefing specifically to the groups affected, such as organizations or businesses after the suicidal duration.
• Besides, they take through the survivors of suicide on an exquisite program who have either experienced a loss of a loved one or a tragedy.
• Interventional training activities are also offered to Texas communities to educate people on the essence of speaking out and avoiding suicidal thoughts.

Texas Commission of Law Enforcement and Family Crisis Center Agencies; Family Violence Crisis Situation

            The prevalence of family violence in the United States of 17% totalling to 4% of adverse violence and 0.3% of normal violence. Agencies such as the Texas Commission of Law Enforcement and Family Crisis Center agencies ensure life-time domestic violence reduces through several activities which play a critical role in its prevention (Baldwin, 2016). The services provided include providing shelter to the victimized person, arrested through the referral personal of the suspect identified to have committed violence. The agencies, also, incorporate advocacy team who refer, provide information and support the victims. Indeed, they generally provide resources, housing, twenty-four hours hotline support and child advocacy where children are affected too.

The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services and the Texas Association for the Protection of Children Agencies; Child Abuse Crisis Situation

Child abuse and neglect crisis intervention tend to assist the violated children by identifying the crisis. The identified agencies above through the help of referral teams try as much as they can to locate the signs and symptoms of an abused child such as trauma and childhood stress in addition to behavioural and emotional signs (Morrison, 2018). Also, they provide services in order to identify beneath dynamics as to why the child is abused. Correspondingly, they ensure they have met with the parents’ whose child is violated. In the long run, the child is not only saved from the woeful act but also assisted through the trained counsellor who is ready to listen and talk to the child.

In summary, there are several agencies in Texas providing crisis assistance other than the ten mentioned above, depending on the condition at hand. Preventing or solving a crisis is important in avoiding problems that might take a decade. On the other hand, victims associated in such scenes such as rape, family violence, suicide, child abuse and assault should be willing to work with recommended agencies which not only impact to social, psychological, economic and political well-being but also improvement in state affairs.
