Air pollution
Air pollution status has recently undergone several changes in terms of levels of pollution and the measures taken to control the changes. According to Saxena & Naik (2018), air pollution is defined as the release of substances to the air at concentrations that are harmful to human health, damaging to the ecosystem and other materials and structures that are socially valued, such as plants. The main ideas discussed in this paper include sources, types, effects, and control measures of air pollution, and the approach used to demonstrate points is a mixed-method approach. The relevance of tackling air pollution is to sensitize masses on the state of the surrounding environment, how it is affecting daily lives and ecosystems, and the best methods that can be implanted by each individual to reduce negative effects caused by air pollution. My interest in this subject piqued when I first learned what pollution was and how it generally affects the environment. My interest in this topic has greatly grown because of the effects it has on the atmosphere and the world at large. Air pollution is a topic of professional interest because I hope to gain more knowledge that will help in finding out more ways of reducing air pollution, and bettering the environment for better living to the current and future generations to make the world a bearable place to live in. Journals will be used mainly to do this research because they contain reliable and updated information, and books will be used as a back-up for the information because most of the information required is available in books.
