argument that school uniforms are better or worse than normal clothes
It can be argued that school uniforms are better or worse than normal clothes. Some say that they’re itchy or uncomfortable while others say that school uniforms feel wonderful and like to have it on. I have never gone to a school with school uniforms but I think I would like it. It seems like fun, you immediately have something in common with other classmates which makes it easier to connect with them and not having to worry about looking poor or sloppy since none can judge you by your looks. However, there might be people judging you because of your school uniform when you walk in public and you might stand out more than usual. Maybe it’s a pain to wash and keep clean sometimes, but still, it’s a pretty clever way to make people feel united and for the school to get more money. I think that it’s more about the money and less about worrying that the pupils are wearing too little or too much. I mean, if that was the case than the school could just have a dress code instead. In fact, I think that more people would be happier if they get to wear whatever they want but still have some rules to follow than being forced to wear skirts or uncomfortable shoes against their will. [unique_solution]A dress code would give you the opportunity to choose your own clothes that you like just having to follow a list of rules. A dress code gives you more freedom than a school uniform would but if the rules are too many or too precise, than you don’t have the freedom to wear what you want anymore. I believe that everyone should of course not be forced to do something that they don’t want to do but school is obligatory. If a school uniform helps people study and focus better in school than I see no problem. School uniforms doesn’t stop you from being creative with your outfits, it just limit you from wearing it to school. You might think that it’s totally fine if you would wear your normal clothes but you don’t know if it will be the same for everyone at a big school. The school uniform is seen in a different perspective depending on which school or country you live in. Japan for an example, they have school uniforms as a part of their culture since almost every high school in Japan have school uniforms. I’m not saying that everyone likes school uniforms there, but I still believe that they have accepted the school uniform and don’t bother hating on it as much as other countries, like the US. Since It’s not as common in the US to have school uniforms, and they usually get to wear whatever they want, they see school uniforms as something bad. There is a lot of people that really like the way they’re dressed and want to show other people at school but can’t because of school uniforms. It’s really hard to pick a side because both option has good and bad sides to it. Both school uniform and the dress code are put in place so that the students have a more serious school atmosphere that encourage the students to have good behavior when at school. However, the school uniform is more not having to focus on the way you look than atmosphere. In conclusion, school uniforms are not supposed to be good or bad, just a practical solution to problems that exist in some big schools and there is no way to please everyone.
