Art of Love; Equality
While reading the book “art of love “by Erich Fromm, a found beautiful pieces of the article that describe love from different perspectives. This author refers to a problematic accumulation that comes from being sensible of our existence. Essential loneliness making us thinking of isolation in the giant world (Erich Fromm 1). However, while reading the book I got captivated to base my interest in looking at the theory of love and the problematic matter to human existence. My goal in this paper is to bring this source into a discussion of how we love impacts equality, how it starts and ends in consideration of human existence.
To achieve this goal, I have organized my paper in a systematic manner providing instances of human differences and the tendencies of the abolition of this difference in adjacent relation to the idea and also the understanding of fairness.
Equality in an advanced society is meant to be fair as referring to a religious context that we are all children of God. We share a lot and we are all one.it interests me of how differences as stipulated they must be respected Since we are all unique as a compliment itself (Erich Fromm 14). For instance, saving a single life is like saving the whole world and also destroying one life also destroys the whole world. Basically, it shows how we humans are connected with love and equality is a condition for development and also as a philosophy for western enlightenment.no man must be the means for the end of another man. It is fascinating how the book describes equality as the elimination of exploitation that how no use of man to man as it is cruel and inhuman.
Also, it reveals how equality nowadays is equality is confused to sameness rather than diversity.in this case we see how equality is portrayed by peoples who have the same amusement or same idea that they relate to how they make their progress (Erich Fromm 15). For example, in the case of gender equality as an aspect of tendencies to gender equality is bought at this very price where they tend to say that women are equal because they are not different anymore. Men and women become the same and not equal on the basis of polarity as opposite poles. All this needs standardization as social progress.
Equality also brings about the union of conformity which main concerned about the human senses and not the body for the reason of comparing orgiastic solutions. This has permanency as it goes through patterns from a small age to death one has to be in strict conformance with the patterns (Erich Fromm 16). These unions are what we speak of when we talking about love. With symbiotic union as a biological pattern between pregnant mom and the foetus[sic]. They are two but one.
CONCLUSION
Conformity of union in consideration to equality made the most impact on me as it shows how to adapt to patterns from a very young age and grow on grasping the patterns till death restlessly (Erich Fromm). On Learning from the book my idea is love granted gift that casts as something continuous and also it happens to us by chance. Something we fall into from practicing deliberately as a pursuit of any human excellence. Love is not a sentiment which can be easily indulged into. The capacity to love one another without fear and faith. This must remain to be attained as a rare achievement.
