“Art of political leanings in India”
“It’s a cruel and random world, but the chaos is all so beautiful.”
― Hiromu Arakawa
Well, this is the quote that describes the political scenario of India. The fact that India has 2599 registered political parties will blow your mind. However, amongst them, you will find that eight parties are the national parties. The main two parties, which are dominating the political scenario of India for decades, are BJP and Congress. Well, you can consider them to be the arch enemies when it comes to Indian politics.
Right now, the state of Indian media is also pretty impressive. If you can observe a bit, you will find out that most of the news channels have their specific political affinity. And that signifies the fact that Indian media is not neutral anymore. Their political leanings are quite funny, and they are ready to go to any extent for the sake of proving their standpoint. To be precise, most of the Indian news channels are bigoted. Well, it is nothing less than a form of art as you need guts to influence your journalism according to the political situation of India.
Some of the famous faces of the Indian News industry are Arnab Goswami, Karan Thapar, Rajdeep Sardesai, Ravish Kumar, Sudhir Chaudhury, and Rahul Kanwal. All of them have a specific political leaning point. For instance, if you turn on the Republic TV, you will witness the face of Arnab Goswami. Compared to other journalists, his voice is a bit high. Till now, very few people have witnessed that Arnab Goswami is talking in a low voice. And without any hesitation, you can comprehend that he raises his voice in favour of BJP.
On the other hand, you can witness that Rahul Kanwal is slightly inclined towards Congress. He always tries to showcase the dark side of the Hindutva politics of BJP. Recently he did a sting operation regarding the JNU incident and garnered both positive as well as negative reviews.
Another significant journalist in our country is Ravish Kumar. Recently, he won the Magsaysay award for his contributions to the field of journalism. One of the best parts about this journalist is that he is a Hindi laureate who always conveys his message in Hindi. Now, when it comes to political leanings, Ravish Kumar prefers the concept of leftism. That means he always tries to put forward the issues of the different labor classes of India. He also conveys how the political standpoints of the ruling party (BJP) are affecting the labor class, social structure, and fabric of India.
Now, amongst all the journalists mentioned above, Rajdeep Sardesai is a bit sophisticated. He is the only one who comes with neutral views and listens carefully from both sides of the table.
Therefore you can see that Indian politics, as well as Indian media, are pretty chaotic. However, they have a beauty of their own. So, turn on your TV channels and feel the heat by yourself.
