Diagnosis

Although ADHD has been described as a genetic disorder, children’s exposure to electronic devices and increased game times has significantly increased ADHD diagnosis in that; children gain a lot of structure, control, and meaning from these games. Hence they find pleasure in imposing those controls themselves instead of their parents. As a result, children develop close attention to electronic games and low attendance at school work. Parents who are working need more time for their jobs, and for this to happen, children have either be indoors or are left in daycare centers. Increased indoor time has proven that it can be a reason for increased cases of ADHD.

Additionally, the high costs of treatment of these disorders may lead to high levels of poverty due to a significant financial burden associated with the medication. The effects of stimulants can lead to parents neglecting their children because of they not capable of providing to them.

Student two response

The student has identified what he thinks are the leading causes of increased diagnosis of ADHD. Some of the identified reasons are kids are spending more time watching TV, playing video games, and on their phones rather than going outside and playing. Sleep deprivation, poor sleep habits, and the use of magic pills for academic excellence could be another cause. The student should have included the parent and children structures, which makes parents become flexible and give their children freedom so that not to inhibit their greatness. This structure eventually leads to ADHD related symptoms in children hence the increased diagnosis.
