Attentive listening

Listening is one character that is assessed to determine the efficiency of a person. In terms of communication, I have an agreeable personality attribute that makes me a good listener. How I adjust to things affects my emotional tone during an interaction. If I feel uncomfortable during the communication process, my emotions are influenced and am not able to make a clear point regarding the topic. In a conversation, I am used to asking questions to obtain clarifications and also to have a better understanding. For this aspect, it shows I am a good listener because I can point out critical issues and ask for clarifications..

I avoid any destructions that may cause a lack of understanding of the issue being addressed. I always switch off my phone, which the first source of disruptions to have focus. I usually use the attending sounds in response to the discussion. These responses help in ensuring the conversation live. The other partner in the interview is motivated and knows that I am together with him/her, and also that I am understanding. This is accompanied by paraphrasing the other person’s point to demonstrate that I am indeed listening. Feedback gives an assurance that one is listening and understanding something at the same time an also keeps the mood alive. These listening aspects are the one that keeps me on making be a good listener in any conversation am involved.
