Aum

The Hindus explain that Aum is the universal name of the Lord. Aum encompasses all of creation. This is a sound that emerges from the vocal cords starting with the music ‘a’ There is amen in Christianity, amen in Islam and Aum in Hinduism. The Aum is said to be a direct symbolism of the Parabrahman, who is the Godhead of the Hindu people. According to the Hinduism religion, the essence of the Vedas (ancient Indian scripture) is contained in the word ‘Aum.’ These people believe that the Lord began creating the world by chanting the words ‘aum’.

The Aum reveals and points to Brahman through creation. Brahman is the Godhead of these people. He chanted these words before beginning creation. The Aum indicates the breathe that runs through one’s body bestowed upon by Brahman. It suggests that he is the Lord creator and the giver of life.

The yin-yang is a symbol of the Chinese people. In the Ancient Chinese philosophy, the Yin-Yang presents two things, the negative and the positive or instead, the dark and the bright. This is a concept of dualism. This symbol tries to explain how two different things i.e., the darkness and the bright, might complement each other. According to the Chinese people, these forces give rise to each other and relate to one another. For example, one good deed is accompanied by another evil act. The Chinese use this symbol to explain the cycle of life. This is also used to describe symbols. For example, winter then spring.

This symbol holds its roots in Taoism. This symbol indicates that Chinese people believe in the existence of both good and bad. For them, these two things exist in balance. This symbol is an intricate culture of the Chinese people and should be respected.
