1. My specialty and planned career are related to completing my education in the automotive industry and then joining an automobile engineering company in the UK. I have chosen this part of the degree specialty due to my level of interest in the subject. I believe that the automobile industry in the UK and across the globe is growing, which is going to make it easier for me to establish a career. The job opportunities for people working in this industry are also high, and the businesses are also requiring professionals. My degree in automobile engineering from a reputable university is the way through which I am going to achieve a competitive advantage. My education was consistent throughout my career, and this helped me in developing my learning skills. I have full command over the subject as I am capable of understanding the theories and procedures used in automobile engineering. I am only planning to enhance my skills using ensuring that I am applying my knowledge in the particle life

It is witnessed that the global automobile industry is growing, and there is several national and international companies other than the UK, which are giving tough competition to the businesses which already exist in the environment. It is witnessed that the presence of tough competition is making it difficult for companies to establish their competitive advantage. The growth in the automobile industry also makes it more attractive as there are increasing numbers of job opportunities that are available and which can help a person in developing a career. While talking about the top 10 companies operating in the automobile sector, we can make a list as follows:

Toyota motor corporation – Toyota is amongst the largest automobile company, and it is reported that they are generating a high level of revenue, and their production level is also high. Toyota is a Japan-based company, and I believe that after getting my degree in automobile engineering and completing my practical experience, I will be capable of joining the company. The reason for which the success of a business is highly important is due to increasing competition and the number of competitors. Toyota is amongst my favorite automobile companies as it as amongst the first ten established car companies in the world, and their production capacity is also increasing rapidly. It is important here to understand that the production capacity of Toyota also explains that the business prefers to high professionals and my skills and abilities will help me in securing a job in the company

Volkswagen Group – the company, is the largest car manufacturer in the world, and the group also currently owes large top class brands of the car which make the group attractive. After securing a degree, I will also be able to secure a position in the group, . Still, the management of the Volkswagen group is highly strict in their recruitment and selection processes, and before joining the group, I must have maximum knowledge about the operations taking place in the organization. They currently have 120 production units, and the business is also generating revenue of $117 billion.

Daimler AG – this company is also amongst the famous automobile company, and they are currently having revenue of $80 billion. The Daimler is also known as the Daimler-Benz group, and Mercedes Benz is their famous brand. It is a German-based company, and they have a great market share globally as well

There is some of the major brand related to automobile industry operating in the UK and t is going to be an opportunity for me if I make a decision to start an internship in those companies. In 2018 the turnover of the UK’s automobile sector was 82 billion pounds, and the companies in this sector have also contributed 18.6 billion pounds in the economy of the UK. This determines that the automobile industry of the UK is increasing, and it is also helping in the economic growth of the country. This also explains that after I will complete my degree in automobile engineering than I will be able to join any of the companies in the UK and start my professional career.  Some of the major companies operating in the automobile sector of the UK are as follows:

3. Having technical and specialist skills is an important factor in career progression. I do believe that I have certain specialist ad transferrable skills, which will help me in my career development. The transferable skills mean that the individual is having a set of skills which is not only relevant to any specific industry. Following are the transferable skills which are present in me:

• Flexibility – I am capable of working in flexible working conditions
• Diversity – I feel more comfortable working in diverse culture, and I am also capable of performing tasks of different nature as well
• Leadership and team management – I am capable of working as a leader, and I also possess effective time management skills. I also prefer to work in a team as this can help me in achieving my targets more effectively. I also believe that leadership and team management skills will help men performing better and increase my productivity as well
• Communication skills – having effective communication skills are essential for success, and I am capable of making the effective communication. I believe that my communication skill is my biggest strengths as they help me in understanding well about the opinions of people living and working around me. I do believe that having effective communication skills can help in the development of a professional career. Due to the presence of this skill I am capable of maintaining good and healthy working environment and relations with people working within the organization
• Time management – for the success of an individual and even business processes, it is important that a person must be capable of managing its time. I believe that I am having good time management skills. I am also capable of prioritizing my tasks and then allocating appropriate time to them, and this helps me in meeting my deadlines and become more productive

As an automobile engineer, along with the presence of transferable skills, it is also important for me that I must possess some of the specialist skills as well. The presence of specialist skills will make me more favorable for businesses. The skills are as follows:

• I am having effective technical and problem-solving skill which is important to possess as an automobile engineer
• I am having commercial awareness about the automobile industry
• As an engineer, engineer must be capable of giving good attention to details and I am having a capability of giving attention to details
• I have strong and effective analytical skills which will help me in getting more competitive as I am capable of understanding more about the ways through which task can be performed

4. Applying for a job in the UK is a process which requires time as the management’s screen the CV’s of applicants and then calls them for an interview. In the UK, when an individual plans to apply for a job, than they have to submit an online application. Then the HR teams will review the qualification and experience of the candidate. If the candidate gets selected then they are called up for an interview. After the interview candidates have gone through various assessment such as tests, demos, or group discussions where the management analyzes the hard and soft skills of the employees. If an individual possesses both hard and soft skills than he is hired for the job
5. To achieve a position in one of the largest automobile company Daimler or Toyota, I have to complete my education, and along with that, it is also important that I should gain experience using doing an internship. I need to work on my transferable and specialist skills as well as they are going to help me in achieving competitive advantage over other automobile engineers
6. Working culture within the UK is based on team culture. The organizations operating in the country believes that working in teams helps businesses in achieving competitive advantage and they also hire an individual who prefers to teamwork
7. I am an individual who is capable of working in teams, and also my communication skills are my biggest strength. While analyzing skills, I believe that my weakness is my decision making capability as I have never given a chance to exercise my skills and in future, I will ensure than once I am allowed to make a decision I will exercise my this skill
