BB&T financial corporation
BB&T financial corporation is one of the largest monetary companies in the U.S with over $220 billion in assets. Its operations cover approximately 2000 financial institutions across 15 states. The market cover in various locations and the intensity of operations makes it use some of the most detailed and practical methods of training its workforce. This is critical for the enhancement of operations as well as improving profitability. The viable combination of methods that would be critical in training tellers across all the financial branches would be the presentation. The first presentational method that I would recommend is audiovisual training. This technique would be helpful in the preliminary stages of the training because it would give the trainees a quick overview of what is expected of them and how to carry out daily operations and duties at their respective branches. Audiovisual training would also be important in helping the trainees memorize some of the most critical routine aspects. Secondly, I would recommend the On the Job Training technique. This would be critical in incorporating all the activities that would have been learned from the audiovisual method. Testing the audiovisual activities is essential in ensuring that there is progress, and all the trainees are on the same level of learning. I would also recommend the branch managers and the mentors to work alongside the trainees and assist them in applying their newly acquired skills and knowledge. With the requirements of the teller positions in such reputable financial institutions, mistakes are likely to happen. So, implementing hands-on- training would be instrumental in helping the trainees learn from experience. Lastly, I would recommend the use of simulation training. This is as a result of how it makes the training resemble real-life situations. The simulation method would help the trainees interact with senior employees because their work environment would be identical.
