“Welcome to Bilby Business Network. Bilby Business Network is one of the volunteer Bilby Business Associations in Bilby that works for the greater economic stability in the region. Tourism has been one of the major industries that earn Bilby a lot of revenues. In the recent past, Bilby has also experienced a great transition in economic growth with the growth of local industries. These local industries avail job opportunities for the residents of Bilby as well as providing revenues to the municipality through the collection of tax. TrustWind International is planning to locate Australian Regional Headquarters at Bilby. This will offer a close liaison and project development for the local wind farm proposal.

Our group has done many projects, such as building a new hospital in Bilby. The hospital was built after long-termed negotiations between our organization and the stakeholders of Bilby. The hospital was built out of town, and modern architecture was employed in order to ensure that the hospital is updated and will help a lot in uplifting the quality of life of the Bilby residents. Currently, our group is working to develop a pioneer garden with the new hospital’s fraternity, a memorial to the early residents of Bilby. Bilby Business Network has been in competition with the Bilby Business Association, and we are competing in order to come up with the best garden design in the proposed project. This project will create tremendous job opportunities for the large population of jobless youths and adults in Bilby.

Our group is currently working on some strategic plans. One of the plans is to build a self-paced tourist trail which will enhance the exposure of sites of the TV locations for City Stresses Country Pleasures. This will create an interactive environment for the exhibition of the Bilby Museum. Secondly, our group is working tirelessly to enhance the creation of a region report on tourism and hospitality across the Bendaby region in Bilby. This will involve the transfer of tourist opportunities from one focal point of view to other areas in the region in order to increase the number of tourists visiting the region. This will increase revenues from tourists and job opportunities resulting in high economic growth and stability in the region. This can be done by organizing multiple cultural events, food and festival events, and other events that are likely to attract tourists. Thirdly, our group plans to support the Build-Strong construction, which will offer training for various jobs available in Bilby. This will make the employees competent enough for their job, which will promote economic stability in the region. Additionally, this strategy of our group involves training the employees in order to enhance the refugee resettlement program in the region.

With the efforts of our group in conjunction with the efforts of other volunteer groups in the region, I hereby confirm to the residents that the future of the economic and social development in Bilby is great. Therefore I appeal for your support in our projects so that we can build our economy together.”

The Future Of Bilby Is Great!

The Bilby Business Network has great plans for strengthening the economic sustainability of Bilby. The plans have been developed after the sudden decline in the economy due to the cancellation of the City Stresses Country Pleasures, which resulted in the loss of jobs for many people in Bilby. However, with the rise of Bilby Business Network, there is great hope for the people of Bilby.

One of the forefront plans being executed by the Material Designs CEO and the whole Material Designs Team is building temporary houses around the manufacturing plan in order to offer affordable housing to the families around their firm. This is aimed at making the resident families feel like part of the community. The second plan is to organize regular multicultural events in different regions, which will be sponsored by Material Designs. This will create more business opportunities and job opportunities for residents. Finally, there is a plan of TrustWind International to establish their regional office in Bilby. Since this is the first international office to be located in Bilby, it is a major symbol of economic sustainability in the region.

Bilby Business Network is an organization under the Bilby Business Association which who main task is to promote economic sustainability in Bilby.

Backgrounder

The speech of Mayor Barbara Kyle Kennedy gives us a brief story about Bilby. She is a newly appointed mayor of Bilby. In her speech, she expresses the great changes occurring in the Bilby by referring to Bilby the NewBilby. “Welcome to Bilby, actually more properly, it should be New Bilby, and I would like to explain why,” said Mayor Barbara Kyle Kennedy (Le Rossignol, 2018). The cancellation of the City Stresses Country Pleasure, which attracted a greater number of tourists and created job opportunities for many residents in the town of Bilby, many people lost jobs, and the municipality experienced a great fall in their revenues. “But that TV show has finished, and we don’t want to make Bilby a ghost town that looks like a TV set. People have started to leave already, and with the less employment at cafes and B&Bs, the tourist execution to view the various TV locations, the population has decreased to around 17500 people,” said Mayor Barbara Kennedy. As a result, there was a great economic decline in Bilby. As a result, many people migrated to other regions leading to a decrease in population of Bilby. Therefore, there is a need to look forward to strategies that will make Bilby great again. “Employment in the country is not easy to generate if we don’t look ahead and think strategically, our country needs to be lateral, creative, a community of culture and economic strength,” added Mayor Barbara Kyle Kennedy (Le Rossignol, 2018).

This necessitated the formation of various schemes under the Bilby Business Network aimed at addressing the matter. This was under the provisions of the mayor’s second announcement. “Our very own home-grown business, material design, has led the way. Material designs CEO Gwen Fallenby and her team have organized temporary homes for these families next to her new manufacturing plant…,” announced Mayor Barbara Kyle Kennedy. This was a way of reducing the poverty gap through availing affordable housing to the people near the companies, which was a positive move in enhancing high-quality lives for the residents of Bilby. Additionally, our group is planning to multicultural events sponsored by Material design (Le Rossignol, 2018).

In her third announcement, Bilby has been selected by TrustWind International to be the Regional Australian Office for global operations, which will create job opportunities for many people in Bilby. “This will be the first global company setting up in Bilby, major step towards economic sustainability,” said Mayor Barbara Kyle Kennedy. She also added that the main reason for TrustWind to take this step is not to necessarily showcase their wind farm but because they have support to Regional Business Initiatives in Victoria. The negotiations to execute this plan have already started, and the company has negotiated with local farmers to increase the there produce. The wonderful bit of this is that the manager of this organization has already become a member of the population if Bilby is making the city great again. “Harry Lee, TrustWinds marketing manager will be based in Bilby, he has already settled here with his partner, our own Sally Badawi..” said Mayor Barbara Kyle Kennedy. All these schemes have made the Bilby great again with growing economic sustainability, but the mayor refers to it as “NewBilby” (Le Rossignol, 2018).

The Bilby Business Networks is headed by Executive Officers is paid on a part-time basis to manage the organization. Currently, Dan Lambert is the organization’s Executive Officer. Dan Lambert is also the CEO of the Bendalong Regional Funerals. Dan Lambert took the organization after his uncle, who is the founder of the group. Chops Lambert, Dan’s uncle, was a local butcher and a farmer who decided to start the Bilby Business Association with the little gains from his business and farming. With guidance, the spirit of his uncle, Dan, ensures that there are various adequate job opportunities in Bilby following the cancellation Of City Stresses County Pleasure, a TV series which was very important to the economy of Bilby. Dan also encourages the expansion of wind farms, which have grown to be the major plantation after the declaration of Bilby’s suitable place for the location of the Regional Australian Office by the TrustWind international. Additionally, he has fought for the increase in entrepreneurial activities in Bilby (Le Rossignol, 2018).

Gwen Fallen, the CEO of Material Designs, has worked closely with Dan to ensure that the main objectives of the organization are achieved in due time. With the help of Dan Lambert, Gwen Fallenby wrote a proposal to the federal government seeking their support towards the construction of temporary houses for the residents near his manufacturing plant. It was accepted, and the exercise executed. This helped in attaining the organization’s objective in promoting quality life among the Bilby residents. The head of design and handmade in Material Designs is Mimi Badawi. The Bord in Material Designs includes; Mike Agostini, the previous mayor of Bilby as a representative of Agostini Vineyard and Restaurant, Frank Chop Lambert of Lambert Butchery, John Russell of Russell Native Nurseries, Jan Chang of Chang and Chang accountants and Stephanie Brookes, director of Bilby Museum (Le Rossignol, 2018).

Membership to the organization is open to all people who hold businesses or planning to hold businesses in Bilby. Additionally, all other members who are willing to promote the efforts of Bilby Business Networks are welcomed to attend the organization’s monthly meetings. Based on the fact that the group plays a role of advocacy in Bilby, the group seeks to expand its wings to cover as a broader geographical area as well as to address as many social problems as possible. The Executive Officer of Bilby Business Network is always delighted to disseminate the organization’s information to any member of the public and more so those who seek to join the Organization (Le Rossignol, 2018).
