Boris Ivanov was born in Moscow, Russia, in May 1961. He was raised from a family where the value of education was harnessed. His father was a researcher in the institute of the Russian Academy of science. Mr. Ivanov is the founder and the CEO of GPB global resources company, which seeks to foster oil explorations and other natural resources discoveries, mostly in Africa and South America. After leaving the civil service, he became one of the executive members of the Unibest bank of Russia. After the Unibest bank, he was appointed as an advisor to the chairman of the Gazprombank, which is the third-largest bank in Russia and whose parent company is Gazprom.
In 2007, Mr. Ivanov became the director-general of Gazprom and spearheaded various expansion programs. He LEFT the Gazprom group in 2011 and founded the GPB global resources B.V which targets natural resources explorations in Africa and South America. GPB global resources B.V Company is situated in Amsterdam, Holland.
