 Boxing

Introduction

The disbandment of Boxing is a very controversial topic that has been going on in media outlets. The people who advocate for banning Boxing as a sport argue that Boxing is a violent sport and therefore causes physical injuries to a person, especially on the rib’s chest and face. Also, research has proven that boxing can be related to brain damage in the long run. Furthermore, there is a high risk of someone falling unconscious and even dying from the sport. Contrary to what the proponents of imposing a ban on Boxing might think, Opponents of the argument think that boxing should not be banned. One of the claims that they give is that boxing is healthy as it provides a means of exercise the muscles of the boy. Another argument that they pose is that boxing is psychologically beneficial as it helps in relieving stress. From my perspective, I support the argument of boxing because I believe the negative health implications and the possibility of death are weigh greater; therefore, the sport being a risk factor in the life of an individual and boxer.

Opponents campaigning for the ban of Boxing assert that boxing causes bodily injuries to the opponent. Boxing is a violent sport, and there is a lot of physical strength involved in throwing a Punch. Most of the time, boxers get severely injured on their face’s ribs and even mouths. The impact on the mouth is most evident on the gums and teeth. Some fighters had recorded instances when they lost their teeth as a part of boxing. Though Boxers usually have a mouth guard to protect them, sometimes the impact is so high that the mouthguards are driven out of place at the effect of a punch resulting in bleeding and damage to the teeth and gums.

In an article published about “Neurological injuries in Boxing and other Combat sports, “(Zazryn et al. 2008), argue that there is a lot of boxers do suffer not only physical injuries but also Neurological Injuries. These are mostly related to brain damage and neural functionality in the brain. At the point when ‘the head experiences a twitching movement and moves quickly to and fro,’ brain damage could happen. Loss of any of the real senses could radically lessen an individual’s satisfaction. For instance, losing all sight could mean a total change in the way of life – taking an individual from freedom to reliance. Permanently, loss of memory, hearing, or discourse could each set an individual’s life on a tricky excursion. It is in this way undoubtedly plain to see that the brutality of boxing can pointlessly diminish a fighter’s future educational experience. Muhammad Ali. Ali was a man known for his brisk mind outside of the boxing ring and his incredible physicality and relentlessness within the circle. In any case, even he surrendered to the detestations of the cowhide gloves. Parkinson’s Disease struck down Ali, to ‘a rearranging shadow of his previous self.’

Death is by far the worst outcome that can be experienced from boxing as a sport. A good example is that of heavyweight Boxer Jonny Owen, who was Popularly known as Matchstick man who was Boxed to death by his opponent Lupe Pintor in Los Angeles. At this point, the Impact Must have so high that the Boxer died. Boxing is therefore dangerous and should not be entertained if it risks and puts the life of an individual in jeopardy.

The media and society at large have raised a lot of concern about the exploitative reasons for losing. Professional Boxing has a lot of money, but there are a lot of perks to it, including the exploitation form promoters and vent organizers. The money that is disposable in any profession and career can be a source of exploitation. In some countries, Young individuals and youths are turning to box because of the monetary value that comes with it.

Then again, supporters of boxing contend that fighters don’t set out with the expectation of harming their rivals. The claim and argument still stand that a fighter’s fundamental hope is to turn out to be especially fit and to win the session. On the other hand, opponents of the ban against boxing argue that there is a lot of benefits that can be gotten from undertaking boxing as support. One of the benefits includes health benefits that are gained from the sport. Boxing helps precisely in exercising the muscles of the hands and shoulders. When the muscles are engaged in Boxing, the body can burn calories as it is a form of exercise. Consequently, there is an improvement in the speed of the person, especially in motor activities that are related to hand movements and functions.

Stress and frustrations can often lead people to do unimaginable and stupid things. But through boxing, a person can channel their frustrations into the sport. Consistently hitting a boxing bag or engaging in the game helps to relieve the minds, let off some steam, and eventually relieve states. On an even higher note, opponents of the ban still assert that boxing is beneficial as it helps in engaging the mind through focus. When a boxer is focused on trying to hit a specific focal point, then they can forget their thoughts and entirely concentrate their energy and mind on what they are doing. Additionally, a particular technique is beneficial and improve s focus.

Conclusion

The dangers of boxing are unsuitable. Society can never again permit boxing to proceed with given the hazard that the brain is exposed to each time a fighter battles a rival. It is a reason to execute, a treacherous game that gradually incapacitates and a steady danger to the brain spoke to by each punch. Boxing can’t proceed as a real game and should be restricted. Boxing can be a fun and engaging sport; however, the risks and dangers involved in the sport are reasons enough to have it banned. The fact that people are undertaking boxing as a professional career should be the more reason that it should be prohibited to avoid its spread and popularity. If boxing is banned, individuals will be able to live healthy lives, and they can engage in other sports such as football, which have minimal risks.
