Building Relationships by Communicating Supportively

Application of theory
Building positive relationships are a guarantee that there will be better physical and emotional results. At work, people will perform much better and place their concentration on the given task. I believe that improving my relationships through the use of personal management interviews is an area I need to put my focus. I think that to establish a long-lasting relationship with the workers I manage, a face-to-face meeting between the subordinates and I, as the manager, might help improve the working partnership we share. By doing so, approaching this interview will require a two-step session, where the first includes a role negotiation session where expectations for both the employees and the managers will be established. The second step comprises the one-on-one meetings scheduled to enhance development and improvement.
Relevance to self
Learning about personal management interviews as a manager and implementing them in my line of work is a crucial step towards the success of the company. Applying a personal management interview program will ensure that a healthy relationship is built within the working environment to elevate the productivity and output of the company. Regular meetings will provide a combined measure of team effectiveness, including productivity, leader-subordinate relations, participation and teamwork, trust, and meeting effectiveness.
Application in practical terms
I plan to utilize personal management interviews to conduct an in-depth analysis of not only the subordinate staffs’ mindset and morale toward the work but also perform a self-analysis to ensure I am competent also to contribute and meet expectations. Also, I will apply this dynamic in my day to day relations with my friends to establish where our relationships stand and what improvements to put in them. I feel that this aspect applies beyond the working environs.
