Gender discrimination has for a long time being an issue in many countries such as Saudi Arabia and India despite the increased effort by advocates and activists to end the vice. In most cases, women have been on the receiving of the depravity as they have for long been perceived as weak by their male counterparts. Many developed countries have made an effort to reduce women discrimination and gender inequality by enacting practical laws. Among. The justice system of the country has been rigorous in dealing with the issue of gender inequality and women discrimination. However, the recent development of unsolved murder of at least 600 aboriginal women and the claim by the Canada justice system the women are to blame challenges this effort. The issues pose the question of what the Canadian justice system has to teach countries such as Saudi Arabia and India about equal treatment of people.

It is in my trust that the justice system has little to offer to countries that facing gender discrimination problems following recent development on cases of aboriginal women and the progress of the cases within the justice system. Various reasons inform my position and stand. The reasons are poor record system kept by the justice system on the missing people, extensive disregard of rights of the indigenous women, and the slow pace in which most of the cases are followed and handled.

The fact that the  Canadian justice system tried to cover its failure on dealing with the issue of murder of indigenous women by claiming that the women were at fault for the continued murder is rather frustrating. The system alleged that most of them were involved in prostitution which exposed them to violence ( The claim shows that the justice system misses the point and lacks to see the bigger picture. The murder of indigenous women in the country is not a new thing, and it shows in wide spectrum how the Canadian justice system has failed to see the connection of the vice to racism and gender inequality. The system is amiss, and it has a gap that ensures that the justice of the aboriginal women is not served. Lack of initiatives by the justice system to ensure that the murders are suppressed and stopped is vivid.

The Canada justice system largely assumes reports of missing indigenous women and there is little or no follow-ups of suspected homicide cases of the women. Proper investigation procedures are not taken, and most of the victims family members who report the cases are treated in a degrading manner. A gap between the justice system and the aboriginal people is evident giving individuals in the country a chance to exploit it. In most provinces, the murder of indigenous women has been a common problem, but due to the lack of political, social, and economic strength of the women, the follow-ups of the murders have fallen outside the normal parameters so claimed by the Canadian justice system.

On the issue of slow pace of the aboriginal women murder issue, the justice system has failed to address cross-jurisdictional issues and ineffective communication and coordination between agencies tied to the system. This setback has limited the pace in which murder cases of the indigenous women is carried. Also, most of the activist groups have been left ineffective due to lack of proper coordination.

Extensive disregard of rights of indigenous women by the justice system the society has replicated especially the police and this. In conclusion, it is true to imply that the Canadian justice system has little to teach to countries such as India, which for a long time have been faced with the problem of equal treatment. Canada has for long been perceived to be proactive in dealing with issues of discrimination and gender equality and should feel embarrassed for the issue of aboriginal women murder and discrimination on their watch. Something needs to be done, and the justice system needs to be reformed to ensure it serves all the people equally.
