Needs assessment and training in organizations is a crucial factor. Exercise is essential for developing both employees as well as the employer’s skills. For an organization to achieve success, it should be willing to develop its staff and also train it.
Firms should promote ongoing training in that they have some benefits. Firstly, it increases the firm commitment of the employees in that they engage in more than one skill, thus working hard for the firm’s goals. Further training helps improve the knowledge of the employees hence a positive performance. For organization development, more programs, and thus staff, becomes more efficient (Yawson, 2009). Training also helps improve the performance of a job in such a way that the development programs and the innovations help improve employee’s responsibility on their part, thus working efficiently to meet the goals and needs of the firm. Furthermore, training employees contribute towards the flexibility of a company in that trained employees will promote the development of the company. These help employees understand both the external and the internal environments hence helping them change with the situation. Employees are training to use advanced technology, leading to their motivation and improve their morale. However, to gain financial gains, supervision should be made more efficient (Yawson, 2009).
Training helps employees acquire technical skills when learning from their managers, supervisors, and know-how a task can be managed technically (Bulut &Culha, 2010).
