The stakeholders in the above case include; Hazleton international, the Mc Pherson brothers international, sorngan highway department, i.e. (SHD), the Tola residents, and the Hazelton personnel. The various stakeholders have different motivations and interests in the project. For instance, the Hazleton international intends to capitalize on the project and make the project a success. On the other hand, the Tola residents are the beneficiaries of the project and are expecting to benefit from the project by getting proper infrastructural development in their region.
2. What are the significant issues or problems involved in managing this project, and what are the critical implications for you (Dan Simpson) in accomplishing this project successfully?
One of the most pressing issues in the management of the above project is in the budgeting for the required resource. The project undertakes the construction process under a problematic terrain that therefore makes it challenging to come up with the correct budgetary allocations for each of the implementation phases. As a result, project management has been forced to come up with the most feasible budgetary allocation to fit this project.
3. How successful is the project? Should the company take projects like this one in the future?
The success of the project could be referred to as impressive, given that most of the set-out project goals were achieved. The company should undertake such a project in the future as they would facilitate the further development of the project management skills of the institution, thereby leading to the overall managerial improvement in the company.
