Paper 2: Comparison-Contrast Essay “Comparison and contrast” is a strategy we use on a daily basis to make choices, persuade others, or to clarify our understanding. In most relatively short comparison-contrast essays, we usually don’t focus on both comparisons and contrasts. Often, we mention the similarities of two things that are alike in basic ways and focus the remainder of the essay on important differences. Using this methodology, we can evaluate the relative success of our subjects. Assignment: Your assignment is to take on the role of “reviewer” and to write a comparison-contrast essay about a field of interest in which you have some detailed knowledge. The purpose of your essay is to present a successful example of the field of interest you are describing and contrast it with an unsuccessful example. The resulting comparison will allow you to discuss a criteria for success in that particular field by examining the “best” and “worst” in that area. Examples: Review two local restaurants that serve the same cuisine but have different levels of success in terms of quality, service, environment, experience,…

Be sure to use valid, credible, and objective sources, both electronic and…
The government should increase the demand to improve growth Keynesian AD/AS theory states that the government should increase the demand to improve growth (Tregub, 2016). The president and government must inject income, which results in more spending in the economy, leading to more investment and production. The initial injection will stimulate a torrent of events that will generate economic activities that are a multiple of the original investment. It is per Keynes’s argument, the solution to recession is by stimulating the economy by combining two approaches. The first method involves the government investing in infrastructure, and the other is by reduction of interest rates (Tregub, 2016). As the president, I would stimulate the economy by stepping up to raise spending either by the government buying goods itself or increasing the money supply. Increasing government spending will stop the decline in the economy by increasing spending hence creating more jobs that improve consumers’ power of buying. The Keynesian approach emphasizes aggregate demand implying that companies produce output if they are capable of selling. Consumption expenditure is critical to avoid a decline…
Emotions of children Evaluate the experience. Was it too brief or too long? Was it too shallow or too deep in its coverage? What were the strengths of the experience? The puppet show was a fun, engaging, and super active activity through which I was able to gain a lot of insight on how I can use Emotions Puppet Shows to explore the emotions of children. The puppets proved an excellent way to deliver information to the children and help them retain it. Since the children considered the puppet a ‘friend,’ they were able to express their emotions to them without feeling discomfort freely. Being neither too brief nor too long, we had time to sit and explore these emotions with them and address the reasons behind them. The coverage was in-depth, and it helped me discover that the children had a lot of knowledge. I didn’t think they had. As for the children, it helped them develop some physical and emotional skills as well through using their imagination and language skills for the pretend play. The strengths of the…

Writing Logically, Thinking Critically by Sheila Cooper and Rosemary Patton In the book Writing Logically, Thinking Critically, Sheila Cooper and Rosemary Patton state that ideas do not emanate from individuals’ inherent logic. Instead, the authors believe that views are socially constructed. They affirm that opinions are social and are produced by groups and not individuals. Ideas are shaped depending on time, place, and circumstances and are not absolutes. In one of the passages, the authors assert that “Ideas do not develop according to some inner logic of their own, but are entirely dependent, like germs, on their human carriers and the environment (pp. 3).” Therefore, people can be assumed to be having the inborn tendency to reject information that does not reinforce their beliefs but easily accept and support those that match our worldviews. Any facts that do not build up the people’s worldviews are quickly dismissed. The authors believe that accommodating other people’s views and attentively listening to them is being open-minded. However, they also note that having an open mind is not an easy task since an individual’s…
