Merriam-Webster defines Communication as a process by which information is exchanged between individuals through a universal system of symbols, signs, and behavior. That is the basic concept of communication but mastering the art of conversation and leading is a complex formula to learn and put in practice. We as a practitioner of communication and leadership continually work on the development of those skills that separate leaders from a follower. The communication practice links our ideas with and those in search of a purpose. Understanding different charts and when to use which one There many charts that traders rely on to carry out technical analysis while trading the financial markets. The three types of charts that are widely used in forex markets are: Simple Line chart Bar chart Candlesticks Let’s dive right in and scrutinize each one of them. Simple Line chart A simple line chart is the most basic charting type in forex trading. What happens in a line chart is that a dot is plotted for every closing price for a particular period. If it is an hourly chart, a dot will be plotted for the closing price after every one hour, while for a four-hour chart, a dot will be plotted for the closing price after every four hours. A line is then drawn to connect the dots, making it possible for a trader to see general price movements within a given timeframe. Therefore, a simple line chart shows the general price movement from one closing price to the next closing price over a period of time. It is ideal for…
Civil Rights Movement in the 1960s Introduction The civil rights movement of the 1960s successfully altered the position of the nation. The campaign addressed the challenges of segregation in sectors of transportation, accommodation, education, voting, employment opportunities, and drafting to the war of African- Americans (Martin Luther King Jr., 1963). The agendas of the movement prevailed in fighting these forms of racial discrimination. For instance, the U.S. Army and the National Guard were used to enforce integration of all races in institutions of education (P. Scott Corbett, John M. Lund 2014). The movement saw the enactment of numerous legislation and the pronouncement of judicial decisions in favor of the integration of people of color and as against white segregationists (Steven F Lawson, 1991). The Twenty Fourth Amendment of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965, for instance, were ratified and enacted to prohibit the imposition of poll taxes and ban states and governments from adopting regulations that excluded persons from voting based on their race, respectively (Steve F Lawson, 1991). The application of such laws saw a dramatic increase…
Worlds of Color article review William Edward Burghardt DuBois was an influential American philosopher: a writer, theorist, economic historian, sociologist, and public critic (Morse n.d.). In his writing and tactical publication in of the article “Worlds of Color,” he offers an insight into the advancement of a critical American attitude to international race relations. Although DuBois was not an international lawyer by profession, his writings and advocacy movements form part of the development of international legal and political debates in the twenty-first century. DuBois begins his essay by portraying a positive image of the Portuguese. He argues that racism in Portugal was minor because of the long history of racial blending in the region. Even though it was improbable for a black man to marry into a wealthy Portuguese family, DuBois was fascinated by the scenario of two Portuguese parliamentary deputies who he spotted kissing a black colleague on the floor (Dubois 1925). However, despite the positive racial attitudes in Portugal, such approaches could not be transmitted to colonial policies because of “inadequate democratic control.” On the other hand, DuBois…
Women in Revolutionary Movements In the past, men were dominant and recognized to play a significant role in world history. Gender biasness was evident about how history was taught and presented from a young age. Women were not supposed to get to the battlefield, and even if they found their ways there, they were unrecognized in history (Jaquette 347). In ancient times, women were only weak vessels with no wisdom and courage to engage in fights; thus, they were inferior and misrepresented in society. On the other hand, men were the breadwinners and protectors of their families and community at large. Also, women were restricted from joining the army, an occupation meant for men (Jaquette 351). Therefore, my impression is that men were strong vessels and played a significant role in the revolution of Latin America and the world at large. Notably, women were inferior and weak vessels, and despite their participation, gender biasness was present at the time. Some of the recognized women in US history include Dorothea Mix, who invented and introduced hospitals for mentally ill and Susan…

There are also changes in her speech since she has developed a habit of speaking softly in a low tone. Additionally, Mercy reveals that she used to work in a flower plantation, where she mainly involved in mixing chemicals used to spray both pests and herbs on the farm. However, she has no history of the disease in her family lineage (Tysnes & Storstein, 2017). The patient admits that the increase in the intensity of her body tremor has forced her to seek medical attention to help alleviate her from the complications associated with her health condition. Epidemiology PD is among the most general age-related neurodegenerative conditions. It is a slowly progressive brain disorder with no identifiable cause. The New York City Draft Riots and The Civil War Discussion post The two topics preferable for this assignment are The New York City Draft Riots and The Civil War. The two issues are of much interest because the two events happened almost at the same time. The civil war began in 1861 while The New York Draft Riots began two years later. Also, the war affects both the north and the south, as well as cotton and tobacco shipment. Significant concepts that one should learn in these events include that both wars victimized the African-American community and other parties that opposed the war event. The idea that one can learn from these events is that war force the implementation of specific policies that help marginalized communities to live harmoniously with significant tribes. The Civil war ended slavery that divided the country while the New York City Draft Riots made the African-American gain status in New York City. Choosing the American Civil War is critical because it shows the significant developments in Lincoln’s government. The resistance collapsed, ending the…
Culture Change within Organizations Walker and Soule (2017) compare culture to the wind, something that cannot be seen but can effect visible changes. Changes within an organization can come from either the leadership or the employees. The top-down mandate is a culture change in the form of directives from the administration to the employees through the hierarchal system. The employees drive a movement- minded mandate. Walker and Soule (2017) claim that top-down mandate does not bring actual culture change. Authority can give a leader the power to demand compliance, but they cannot command trust, loyalty, commitment, or innovation. The case study outlined in the article gives a perfect example of the effectiveness of the movement-minded mandate (Walker & Soule, 2017). G.V Prasad wanted to change Dr. Reddy’s culture from procedurally burdened culture to a patient-centered, flexible, and innovative culture. The first step was finding out what every employee needed. The information gathered from the workers was used to coin a general yet effective slogan that became the guide in the restructuring of the organization’s image, processes, and approach. By opting…
