“Clair de lune” “Clair de lune” is an exquisite masterpiece that was developed by the French composer known as Claude Debussy. This song had the meaning “moonlight,” and it was from the collection of several poems “Fetes Galantes” by artist Paul Verlaine.  Clair de lune is regarded as a masterpiece full of innovation since it was built in different decorations, thus displaying smooth rhythm.  In this music, tones and notes almost share similar frequency throughout the whole masterpiece, although a slight variation is seen in tones. This music had mostly referred to be romantic and used in wedding ceremonies since its notes appreciate and depreciate accordingly and eventually advance to higher lovely tones, thus building an unforgettable tune. Besides, the song had organized in such a way that it has low and high frequencies, which alternate effectively as the song progresses. Sometimes the work moves to irregular intervals for a moment despite its unity in action and later changes back to regular unity. Claude uses dissonance in this song, “Clair de lune,” which demonstrates a unique feature. The two essential…

Community-based projects Community-based projects have been significant in societies because they cover different areas to address issues affecting community members. The welfare of community members has been addressed mostly. Community-based healthcare projects have been successful as most people, such as the elderly, are unable to cater to their medical expenses; thus, the support from well-wishers. I work with a community-based organization based in Florida, where we provide for the needs of the elderly by housing them in a Seventh Day Church. The church has everything available in any other home ranging from healthcare facilities to food reserves to fully furnished gym for them to keep fit and many others. The elderly members in society have a challenge of diet and obesity mainly due to poor nutrition and little or no movements. I have consulted with the head of the department in the health department at the church to conduct research within the community and later present the findings at the church hall. I have also contacted two other officials to partner with me, one being a local leader and the other…

Matts dance can be described as interesting, entertaining, cultural, energized, sensuous, primitive, engaging, and fun. This was because his dance engages many people across the countries that he travels in performing his dance. His choreography was new, original, traditional, intricate, exciting, energetic, but more importantly, successful. This is evidenced by the numerous people that joined him for the dance as he visited various places. In terms of setting, the dance depended on his location as he would sometimes dance with children. Reflection journal on the progressive movement A hundred years back, Theodore Roosevelt began the third best party presidential bid of the historical backdrop of America. It was a summit of Progressive party gathering in Chicago in August 1912. Its impact regardless of everything echoes through American politics today. One of the lessons learnt in Roosevelt Progressiveness is that revolution is the remedy to reform. With socialists, communists and rebel powers getting powers over the Atlantic, this was a phase committed to Roosevelts conviction that ‘‘reform is an antidote to revolution.’’ Roosevelts Progressive gathering did not avoid backing women entitlement to cast a ballot, ending of child labour, least wages, assurance against disorder and joblessness, crusading change and political decision change. Advice to the next group of students taking this course is that they should all know the fight for freedom and rights such as the right to…

Opinion on‘The Worst Myth Ever’ Article. From reading the article, the reader is introduced to the difference between those who believe in globalization and those who do not. For instance, those who believe in globalization claim that it is imperative to free the market as it will ensure that wealth is spread all over the world .however, those who do not believe in globalization, believe that only the wealthy nations and organizations have established how the globalization works and to their advantage, gaining profits from the sweat of the poor. However, the author believes that the only thing the two have in common is that it globalization leads to more market share for the fewer players. This is to say that it is true that it puts profits and power into lesser hands, mentioning that it is expected to have wide varieties of industries being dominated by less companies that continually overtake the smaller companies in their bid to become bigger.  I agree with the author that the information on global production reveals the opposite, where in the event of…

Social movement Social movements are large groupings made of people who organize themselves to resist or promote social changes. Basically, social movements are made of two components; first is what or whom the movement is trying to change and second is the level of change the movement is advocating for. Social movements can occur both at the societal and individual level and the movements can advocate for either radical or minor change (Anyon, 2014, 21). There is a big connection between social movements and political parties, interest groups and the media. Interest groups such as workers groups are a big part of the social movement as they advocate for social changes that are of interest to their members. Political parties are also greatly involved in social movement through seeking to bring about political change. The media has great potential to bring about social changes through creating awareness and informing the society about different issues that are of concern to them (Johnston, 2013, 43). There are three models of analyzing social movements. These include framing (frame analysis), resource mobilization and stage…

The King Jr vision was to have a non-racial society where people were treated equally and allowed to live their lives. The king observed non-violent methods to proceed with his protests. A good example is the bus boycotts were under the King’s influence; the civil rights movement achieved respect and attention. This act has taught me to use lenient and non-violent methods while advocating for better treatment or rights. The King used inspirational speeches to oversee civil right victories. A good example is the bus boycott where the civil rights movement and the King’s influence gained respect and attention. The King was responsible for passing voting and civil rights for the African Americans. The acts transformed the American law, and African Americans were now treated equally with the whites.  Dr. King’s mountaintop words shook me out of my…
