Michelangelo’s David Michelangelo’s David is a marble sculpture created by Michelangelo between 1501 and 1504. It features a nude young man standing confidently, holding a stone on his shoulder using his left hand. The art lacks contrast as it is in one pale color; however, it represents vigor, in regards to the confidence shown in the carved man. The sculpture historically fits within the context of the Renaissance as it was part of the 12 sculptures of the Old Testament, which Arte della Lana sought to commission.  It represented advancement that was ongoing within the church at the time, especially the inclusion of art in its work. Concert Report: Sammy Miller and the congregation Sammy Miller and the congregation concert titled leaving Egypt was held in the Campbell hall on Thursday, the 13th of February this year. The show began by 8 pm as it was recorded in the program. The hall was filled, and many other people could not get seats and had to stand through most of the concert. Most people in the audience dressed casually, and this implied that it was a casual occasion. The performers, Sammy Miller and the crew, did not also wear uniforms, and this created a free mood that put people in high spirits. As much as I found it weird, I noticed that the majority of the concert attendees were the men. The ration of men to women was two to one. Even so, I am sure that the women who had not attended the concert would have enjoyed it either way. The Media and Symbolic Interactionism Theory Human beings have the capacity to exert control over their behaviors- or simply to coordinate their behavior with that of others and create complex social attitudes or interactions. This ability is made possible through communication and aided by a theory known as symbolic interactionism, as discussed in the sections that follow. Symbolic interactionism theory is a communication theory that provides a framework for understanding human behavior by attempting to address the subjective meanings that people give to events, actions, or objects.
