Malcolm X and Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr Would African Americans be better off had they peacefully separated themselves from the white Americans? If yes, please state why. If No, please state why. Use examples from their writings to support your argument. INTRODUCTION Both Malcolm X and Martin Luther King, Jr were among the key proponents of the freedom of the Black Americans. They took part in fighting for freedom of the Black race in America in 1960. However, the two were rivals and had different opinions on how the blacks were supposed to get their freedom. They were both opposed to each other’s idea but had respect as leaders of the blacks. He had a particular interest in mythology, mainly Romanian mythology, traditional art, and folk tales, all of which had a powerful influence on his works. Although he became interested in Mediterranean and African art as well. He was considered a pioneer of expressionism and modernism styles. Two Examples of Homeland Security Issues in the USA in Art or Popular Culture Task La Bestia by The Simpsons is a song that is likened to the customary Mexican folk songs, the “corridos.” It tells of a narrative of the “Beast from the South,” a despicable train of death that is used by migrants aiming to get into the United States of America (Barkham, 2020). In Central America, the song is played in over 20 radio stations. But, what the public does not know is that a US Advertising Agency wrote the song to support the anti-immigrant campaign of the US Customs and Border Control Protection that aims to stop immigration from Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador (Barkham, 2020). As part of the border security issue, the song hints at the problem of loss of lives of the immigrants resulting from trying to cross into the USA illegally. Description of the visual elements in the Queen Mother Pendant Mask Both articles, African Art and the Effects of European Contact and Colonization and Queen Mother Pendant Mask are very visible. They have an artistic perspective that is not only decorative but communicative and has a deeper meaning to it. The Queen Mother Pendant Mask is a historical piece of art that not only communicates how historical art is being embraced but also communicates the historical position of the queen as a societal crown and at a personal level. The expectation in society is that a queen ought to be strong, authoritative, and pursue things with a lot of precision. Her gaze, which is intensified by the rims of the eyes and the iron inlays for the pupils, communicates authority and inner strength (Clarke, 2016). The arrangement of the queen’s hair to form a tiara represents her crown and position as a queen. Otherwise, there would be no other way to identify her position as the queen without the crown/tiara. The white faces that represent the Portuguese explorers collecting ivory…
