Maker Movement One of the emerging trends in the realm of learning is the Maker Movement. This is a movement that seeks to encourage creativity and imagination in communities and the use of digital and physical forums to promote innovations. This paper reviews articles that have explored the Maker Movement from various perspectives. In its article, WE ARE TEACHERS STAFF (2013) explores how the Maker Movement applies in the education sector. It states that new technologies, such as robotics, 3D printing, e-textile, and microprocessors, have a special place in schools. The Maker Movement ensures that these tools are affordable either freely or cheaply, in addition to offering platforms for sharing the resulting knowledge and inventions. The article reiterates that the goals of the Maker Movement overlap with those of the traditional school systems, which entail harnessing the creative power of children and offering learner-centered lessons (WE ARE TEACHERS STAFF, 2013). I agree with this article that there is a special place of the Maker Movement in the traditional school system. However, I feel that the article does not explore how…

Foreign exchange can be understood as currency conversion, and after converting the currency, the value of the currency either increases or decreases in the foreign nation. This is because, within a free country, the value of the currency depends on supply and demand laws. Currencies constantly fluctuate because the government of most countries tends to float the nation’s currency (Frankel & Froot, 1990). Market forces associated with tourism, geo-political risks,…
Slow Food Movement Food production and consumption have raised a lot of rhetorical questions around the globe. The techniques used in growing and processing different kinds of foods is creating worries to the consumers. It may sound odd to say this but the research conducted not only in America but also worldwide on the food industry indicate that a huge percentage of people are opting to take fast foods in supermarkets or restaurants not putting in mind the health risks they are exposing their bodies to. Therefore, Slow Food Movement was founded with a global initiative focusing on encouraging people to stop consumption of fast foods (Williams et al, 2015). Besides, this movement not only focusses on the nutrition of people but also preserving the heritage and culture of foods. The Slow Food Movement has tremendously grown to different parts of the world since it appreciates and promotes native food traditions (Lee et al, 2015). This movement is bound by several ideologies that come in hand in the promotion of consumption of slow foods. Generally, the movement is subjected to…

Types of music suitable for children Music lovers describe music as the medicine to the soul. They go a further mile to state that music acts as a therapy for when they are stressed. I agree wholly with that not because it’s theoretical, but because I have (personally) tried it and it worked for my child and me. The way music impacted my child in a manner I could describe as magic motivated me to research how it made my parenting so much easier. It’s important for a parent to select carefully the type of music to expose his child (or children) too. Classical music is one example of the suitable types of music to play to a child among many others. Music creates a huge impact on child development in many domains which I will genuinely share. How classical music fosters physical development I bet everyone gets tempted to dance to a song that is playing, even if it means nodding or swinging to the rhythm. Babies are no different from adults when it comes to responding to a…

The Least Desirable Place to Live The sun is shining reluctantly and with hesitation to the tall building of Downtown in Los Angeles, giving it a beautiful scenery. The sun rays are so animated, creeping through the windows of those tall buildings thus acting as a catalyst of eager, a curious inspiration of a place that is full of peace and tranquility. The city is the main artery of livelihood for the Angelinos as its population can be compared to that of the New York. As a business center, there are several aspects which makes the city an attractive place with flourishing activities. The place is endowed with recreational points which includes the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Walt Disney Concert Hall, Olvera Street, and other architecture places. The presence of all these pleasure delicacies makes Downtown a source of unfathomable joy to its residents. To my utter disbelief, it is so ironical that that the city known as the entertainment capital of the world is the least desirable city to live! Yes, there are so many reasons why…
Concert report On Sunday, 11 December 2016 at 8:00 p.m. in Broadway Hudson theatre, Peter Jason Riley performed five of his best pieces that I like most. He is a film musician, a comedian and a performer in documentary. At first, I felt very overwhelmed in the event because the famous Peter lounged the stage with one of his best pieces, Rivers Apart produced in 2010. This is one of his best music that I love most about Peter Jason Riley. In the hall, everybody was like popping out though the ventilation with regards to the hit of the music and aggressiveness of the actor to keep the stage in motion. Peter Jason appeared as the concertmaster while McCain taking the soloist. The motion began quietly as the strings of the instruments dropped slowly in motion as the brass instrument came in with a gentle motion. This progressed more dramatically till to the climax when the piece turned to be faster and intense. At this moment, the floor was shaking loudly as everyone in the hall jumped up and down…
