The Road to Surgical Care Efficiency in a Flawed and Ineffective Environment Surgical care involves patient monitoring before and after operations. Lewis and Clark New Orleans was strategically located as a port where ships could drop cargo as they left. This made it an essential part of many trading activities. The United States wanted control over New Orleans, and they were also looking to expand their territories. Getting ahold of the port would allow them to have full control over the trade that took place here. For many years, American ships had grown accustomed to leaving their cargo in New Orleans because of its position and significance as a bridge for trade. At that time, France had not taken control of the city, and Spain was running it. To the United States, Spain was a weaker party who they could fight for the region. They viewed the Spaniards as a weaker party who they could easily have power over.  After France took over the area in 1801, the United States tried to get them to sell New Orleans because they wanted possession of the city so that they could control trade in the port. Whoever had control over the top automatically…

To keep the museum intact and relevant to the community, funds are required which, can be collected through several measures, fundraising one of them. An effective fundraising program will go a long way to breathe life back to the problem-laden art museum. Factors to Consider The fundraising program aims to improve the financial status of the art museum. For this to be successful, some issues have to be addressed. Firstly, the interests of donors and the fundraising program should be intertwined. At this stage, all the prospects of investment have to be outlined and explained to all the stakeholders. In so doing, donors are provided with a valid reason compelling enough for them to support the cause (Riley-Huff et al. 2016). Since the program will be incorporated into the organization’s operations,…

Art Museum Fundraising Program Restoring the art museum to its former glory is the primary objective of developing a fundraising program. For such an initiative to be successful, the team must come up with an effective strategy that will facilitate the achievement of the objective. Apart from hosting a big event, supporting a worthy cause in the community, such as the rights of women and environmental conservation can be an instrumental technique to attract the attention of the public. Getting a favorable public opinion from the locals increases their willingness to donate gifts to the program. Furthermore, human rights and environmental conservation organizations may be compelled to support the fundraising initiative and increase the revenue pool for the art museum. Establishing such partnerships with corporations that will help the mission will be an addition to the funds retrieved from individual contributors. The relationships with organizations can expose fundraising programs to advertisements opportunities. For instance, corporations have the capability and resources to engage celebrities who already have a huge fan base to come on board and pledge their support. The marketing…

Pilots and controllers to demonstrate mastery of standard phraseology On March 27, 1977, two Boeing 747s collided on the runway at Tenerife. Among contributing factors to the accident was the use of non-standard phrases in radio communication. This led to confusion about whether or not a clearance for take-off had been granted. In most circumstances, any misunderstanding would be quickly clarified, however on this day, there was dense fog. The tower controller couldn’t see either of the two planes, nor could the planes see one another. In addition, simultaneous radio transmissions meant that some messages were not heard. The use of ambiguous words made the already bad situation much worse. Clear communication is extremely important – and can be a matter of life or death – for pilots and air traffic controllers. Pilots and controllers use standard phraseology to ensure that communication is clear and unambiguous. The sound quality in radiotelephony is variable, which increases the chance of miscommunication. The numbers ‘five’ and ‘nine’, for example, might easily be confused, so in standard phraseology, ‘nine’ becomes ‘niner’ and ‘five’ become…
