The authors investigate the unclear and understudied relationship between gender-related stereotypes and advertising.  They evaluate the typical stereotype of capitalizing on the sex appeal of the female decorative model.  The purpose of the study is to find out whether gender-related advertising is considered offensive and whether gender-related advertising is offensive to consumers.
