Partial Characterization of Bacteriophages from Indonesia and Its Potency as Biocontrol of Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae     Novelty statement:  Bacterial leaf blight on rice is caused by phytobacteria Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae (Xoo). Bacteriophages isolated from the soil can infect the Xoo. The phage XooX1IDN and XooX2IDN are the first myovirus isolated in Indonesia possess a head and non-contractile tail particle with double-stranded DNA. We found that both phages are potentially able to control.   Abstract   Bacterial leaf blight (BLB) is a disease caused by Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae (Xoo) of rice in rice-producing countries, including Indonesia, and attack rice in all stages of growth. In the advanced, crop production will decrease by 50 to 70%.  Recently, the practical efforts to overcome the problem by using resistant varieties, antibiotics, and sanitation; however, the ability of the pathogen to forms the new virulent pathotypes is noteworthy. Alternatively, the pathogen could be environmental friendly controlled by utilizing bacteriophages as biological control agents because of their specific characteristics to their bacterial hosts. This research aimed to obtain information about the characteristic…

Matricide

Matricide Introduction Family relationships can be difficult sometimes until the bond that exists between family members is no longer in existence. Matricide can be defined as the killing of a biological mother by her children. These cases are common in society today than in the past due to the various factors in the contemporary world. In today’s world, some parents are reluctant to performing their parental duty and may end up neglecting their children. Meghan, in her book, the unspeakable, talks about how her family had a complicated relationship, how the mother had neglected them, just like the grandmother had neglected her. Meghan wished her mother died, and even if she did not do it herself, at least she had thought of it a couple of times. Victims of matricide usually have brought it upon himself, and if they practised their role as mothers, then the rates of matricide would decrease significantly. Bharatanatyam’s tradition What we currently recognize as Bharatanatyam comes from Sadir Natyam, sometimes referred to as Chinna Melam, Dasi Attam, or just Sadir. According to Meduri (2004), the word “Sadir” started in the seventeenth century with the Maratha crowned heads of South India. Seemingly, he meant that this is the way dance is portrayed in the courts. The term Dasi Attam, the Devadasis dance as an aspect of temple worship, is elicited as a more significant function of dance. An artist who was devoted to serving in a temple was a devadasi whose name implies Dasi (servant) of the deva (divinity). The devadasi dance was part of the ceremonial adoration. They continue these practices from ages to ages assisted by the Royal Sponsorship of the devada families who are training in the arts of dance and music and with the dance masters (nattuvanars). Sculptural and the written proof show that Bharatanatyam dances, which are centered on Natya Shastra, have been used across India as temple worshipers (Meduri, 2004). This classical tradition of dance was weakening in the north by constant…

Piece’s movements Movement I This was the starting movement of the piece. As expected, the musical structure of it is the sonata form, just like most first movements of music pieces. This movement employs what is known as a paired description. Which is why, the initial segment of this program is played twice, originally by the orchestra only, and next by the soloist supplemented by the orchestra. The first section is kind of short and fixed, then the second section starts with the soloist and the orchestra joins him to form the melody played in section one. After the end of section one, section two starts. In the orchestration, an individual notes the deficiency of oboes and the existence of clarinets, causing a distinctive, darker-hued sound. The movement continues with its fast tempo, and we can say that the dynamic of it is soft and not changing much compared to other movements, the only changing of dynamics is when they move from the soloist to the orchestra. Also, the dynamic range of it is normal, there is no big difference…

IT enabled cyber simulations The advancements in IT have enabled cyber simulations and simulations allow users to use advanced mathematical concepts and variables. It can be used for checking the aftereffects of a plan. IT simulations can help understand the effects of a built-up mental scenario. The case of a smart city can be considered. The theoretical assumptions can be tested practically. In a smart city, it would be feasible to plan a water supply system that would supply water for a specific time period. It might help with water management in the city. Citizens would become conscious before wasting water because of the time limitation. However, the model might have implications. During parties or special occasions, a limited supply of water would create problems within the community. It is necessary to use effective visualization techniques to understand the implications of policy implementation. A 3-D based environmental design would be effective, and the design must be simple and scalable. IT capabilities have enhanced over the past years, and cyber simulations have taken center stage. Usage of effective mathematical variables and…

Chronicled race relations between African Americans and white people Different images in the film portray the regularity of chronicled race relations between African Americans and white people. Peele’s usage of cotton allows the historical forces that defined the labor of the black race, the very factors that cause Chris’ escape. Also peel uses a croquet ball as a device to knock Jeremy unconscious so that he can escape. This ball, like the bingo game, embodies the frivolous way in which white individuals live while performing these systems of violence against black bodies. The use of the croquet ball suggests that Chris is able to overcome the patriarchal and economic forces of whiteness that have attempted to confine him. The third device, the mounted buck, is incredibly powerful as it captures the essence of the stereotype that has been associated with his identity and warranted the death of other black men before him. While the image of the “black buck” was intended to be a derogatory slur and a way to affirm white power through the dehumanization of black individuals, Chris’…

K-pop culture In this article, Rios argues that K-Pop is growing exponentially across the world. The K-pop culture infuses dance, clothing, and Korean culture in music. According to Rios, the culture has spread to Europe, Pacific Asia, Middle Asia, and the United States. The popularity of k-pop became popular due to internet penetration. In 2012, “Gangnam Style,” a song by Psy, was the first video to attain one billion views on YouTube. After the breakthrough of Gangnam Style, Rio argues, viewers went ahead to research more about similar genres of music. Rios further explains that the lifestyle has diversified from music to include other lifestyles. For instance, it is common to find the genre in other fields such as clotheslines and skin products and care. Rios identifies three major styles of the k-pop genre; Twice, Red Velvet, and Big Bang. Twice involves a sparkling sassy style. Red Velvet, on the other hand, involves beautiful but firm ladies. Finally, Big Bang style involves a performance by “bad boys.” Jinn and Yoon (2016) believe that social media is one of the largest…
