Performance Response Performance Response: Stageworks Theatre in Tampa – Morning Side Feb. 7th- 23rd, 2020 My friends and I had the opportunity to attend the long-awaited Morning Side at Stageworks Theatre in Tampa on the 23rd February. The sharply and fine-tuned event gave us a detailed and humorous glimpse into the lives of what it means to consider people as friends but mostly family. The play provided heartfelt lessons and the fact that family matters most in life, an aspect that proved to be the core of the play, “mother of all baby showers.” My moment in the theatre was highlighted by different observations I made about the actors, lighting, and stage. Observations and Descriptions The design of the women was intricate such as to catch the attention of the audience at a single glace. The women were represented with the combination of eloquence and wit in how they spoke and addressed others with a touch of strength and softness. The producer presented a combination of the qualities of a quintessential woman who has grace and dignity, an aspect that was well…
COMMUNITY ACTION REPORT Practicum 2/3 I will discuss two events I attend in my community action report. The first is called ‘Honors and award ceremony’; a musical concert set up by a band director along with some students who are members of the band immediately school reopens. The second is a step contest performed by some 20 young Mc Nair ladies. .From events, it was worth noting the priority of parents and students and how the community and parents will be involved in activities as long as they are interested. The honors and award ceremony was a celebration of the band’s achievements and acknowledged the students who had received prizes. Many of the few students shortlisted in the district averaged in proficient and distinguished in playing their instruments. To my surprise, the community showed up in large numbers than any other event ever hosted in the school. There were various races, even though the band was mainly composed of African Americans. The audience was very enthusiastic throughout the concert as the skilled musicians had an excellent choice of music. What…
Comparative Analysis of “Papa’s Waltz” and “Those Winter Sundays” The love of parents, especially fathers, have been taken for granted for so long. On many occasions, they spend most of their time outside the home, working hard to provide for their families. Most of them rarely have the opportunity to interact with their kids. Due to this, their expression of love and affection towards their kids began to drift away. This article will compare Theodore Roethke’s “My Papa’s Waltz” and Robert Hayden’s “Those Winter Sundays.” The two Poems talk about fathers’ love towards his sons. The two authors describe the father-son relationship while reflecting on childhood memories with their fathers. Discussion I will begin by analyzing both poems individually and then draw a comparison between the two poems based on the structure and themes in the poems. The first stanza of “My Papa’s Waltz” states: “The Whiskey on your breath Could make a small boy dizzy But I hang on like death: Such Waltzing was not easy.” (Theodore, S.1, 1-4) So, looking at the surface of this poem, one can…

Students Name Professors Name Course Date Modern Art Art allows for a representation of thoughts and ideas in a way that provides a hidden meaning. For that reason, like contemporary art, modern art act as a mirror in the society. Although modern art is associated with the artwork produced after the 18thcentury, it was an essential way through which artists communicated about their thoughts in the community through painting, performance art, and sculpture. Artwork allows viewers to think for themselves and can teach at a different level that cannot be reached by words. Through viewing modern art from various museums’ websites, Diego Rivera’s artwork from the website of the San Francisco Museum for modern art captured my attention. Although different artwork were present in the website such as sculptures, prints, photographs, and other paintings, it was only The Flowers Carrier in the paintings section by Diego Rivera that stirred my mind attracting my interest to know why the artist painted it. Student’s name: Professor: Course: Date: Who or How did the Federalist Paper define the Powers and Structures of the Constitution? History 1302 – 73013 The Federalist Papers are essays that lobbied for the approval of the United States Constitution (Ken and Robert 1). These papers were drafted in Philadelphia by James Madison, John Jay, and Alexander Hamilton in 1787 and 1788 (Ken and Robert 1). The essays promoted the use of the Constitution rather than the Articles of Confederation. Ken and Robert (1) indicate that these papers are used to elucidate various Constitutional provisions. Ulrich (1) argues that the Federalist Documents were used to support the novel Constitution. The New York residents were encouraged to approve the U.S Constitution. In Federalist number one, Hamilton challenged the audience to contemplate the effect of ratification. Why Abortion Rights should not be Legalized Introduction For several decades now, there has been a debate about abortion and whether or not it should be legal in the US. In 1973, the US Supreme Court, under the landmark case of Roe v. Wade, ruled that abortion should be permitted in the country (Lantz 645). In this light, the debate regarding the legalization of abortion rights became active and controversial among citizens and even states. Some individuals claim that abortion rights should be legal since the practice is an essential means for family planning, which is vital during the unavailability or failure of contraceptives. On the other hand, critics of these rights feel that abortion introduces a practice that leads to the violation of human rights with denial of life for the fetus involved. In the US, despite allowance of abortion by the Supreme Court cases of Roe v. Wade (1973) and Planned Parenthood v. Casey (1992), many states have established bans against the practice. Some of the states which have such abortion restrictions include Georgia, Louisiana, Kentucky, Ohio, Mississippi,…
