The other characters in the play are Benjamin Rayson(the King), Wiliam Katt(Pippin), Leslie Denniston(the widow), Martha Raye(Pippin’s grandmother), and Chita Rivera(Pippin’s stepmother). The play is about a young prince who had big ambitions in life other than being royalty. He was adventurous and quite passionate about this thing called life. Chapter 6, “Aquinas’s Program and Two Critics:  Karl Barth and Process Theology” What is a “self-evident proposition?” Propositions where predicates are parts of what the subject means. How did Anselm and Aquinas differ on whether and how God was or was not “self-evident”? Anselm argues that from the essence of what God is, it can be concluded that He exists. At the same time, Aquinas differs from this argument because he believes that statement does not give a divine essence suggesting it is not self-evident. Be able to provide a brief definition of the “ontological argument.” An argument o the being or existence of God. What is Thomas Aquinas’s basic procedure when it comes to demonstrating the existence of God? Aquinas connects effects (creation in this case) or actions of God to Him. This establishes the existence and characterization of God accurately. In basic terms, be able to state Thomas Aquinas’s “five ways.” (pp. 104ff.); this comes up in the next chapter as well) The first of the “five ways” demonstrate God as the initial cause of motion, the second…

The three eagles flying  The three eagles flying is a self-portrait done by Laura Aguilar in 1990. Laura Aguilar stands with her breast open tied with a heavy rope between the American and the Mexican flag. The lower body is filled with stars, and her face masked with an image of an eagle found in the Mexican court of arms. The portrait is on display at the national museum of Mexican art. As a woman of color and also a lesbian, she drew that image as she belongs to the hidden subculture within a marginalized group. Her work is a depiction of the precarious double identity with her own body often being symbolic. The powerful and beautiful photograph explored the realities of the marginalized group, such as the women, Latinas, working-class, and those with learning disabilities. Laura says she wanted her friend to be the one in the picture, but she refused as she told her it was all about her. Therefore, the main aim of this paper will be analyzing the three eagles flying by Laura Aguilar. Laura Aguilar…

Quotes from the Road by Cormac McCarthy             Love and suffering form part of any pursuit of the things that people seek to achieve in life throughout the world. Authors often narrate these two terms in their works, and one of such includes The Road by Cormac McCarthy. The novel tells the story of a father and his son traveling to what may be called present-day Texas. Through a journey filled with love, difficulties of numerous survival moments holding uncertainties including lack of food and shelter and impending threats of death from hostile wild groups, and the inability to know what tomorrow may bring. This paper analyses six quotes from the novel and asks relevant questions that might pop up in the reader’s mind in each event part of the book. The first instance of love and uncertainty arises when they encounter the difficulty of pursuing their journey into their dreamland. The two become obfuscated about progress, and the father feels that they have no known destination, and instead suggests that they turn back. Here the father says to the…

The drivers that catalyze the model is the HR, and the report will also look into the effect of having the responsibilities of HR devolved onto line managers. BPM is a primary delivery channel that promotes functional excellence by providing the link between business and the organizational strategy with the main functions being organizational development, facilitating mergers, recruitment and selection and employee development. To achieve the aspirational role of BP, strategic partner, administrative expert, employee champion and change agent are required (Ulrich, 1997). How the BPM is implemented depends on specific influencers which are both internal and external, whereby internal driver’s influences change. The internal drivers can help to support clients to apply new skills which are integrated by their foreign counterparts. Externally, the colleagues work on a strategic level which also helps the business in terms of culture and system. However, HR may not understand specific responsibilities…

The UK music scene In current years, a group of British pop singers with substandard accents has appeared on the UK music scene. Whereas there has been a lot of research that has been carried out on British singers that emulated the American accent, there is less debate regarding British music as well as the shift in music dialects from the optimistic to pessimistic prestige. The British and American English have several differences, and the most obvious difference is the vocabulary. Many words are very different. For instance, the front of a car in the British is referred to as bonnet and whereas in American, it is called hood. Brits in London reside in flats, whereas Americans in New York live in apartments. There is also a difference between Brit’s and American’s English in the usage of collective nouns. For the Americans, collective nouns are used in a singular form. For instance, a group of workers is called staff. However, the collective nouns in British English can be used in either in plural or else singular forms. For instance, Brits…
