Should Parents Monitor Their Children’s Social Media? TOPIC 2 In regards with censoring certain content on social media I believe that there are different people responsible depending on the situation. For example, if a parent has allowed their young teen between the ages of 13-17 to access and use social media then it is mainly the parent’s responsibility to make sure that the young teen doesn’t access adult content. There are many studies and articles discussing the affects of the youth watching/seeing adult content and the effects that is has on them later such as damaging relationships and giving some people social anxiety. One article had said “a that graphic pornography is becoming a normal part of life for children as young as 11” (Goldhill, 2014). This is a statistic that has changed drastically in comparison to earlier years as the older generations didn’t have that kind of access to this content so easily due to social media not being as wide spread and available. Also, on some social media websites such as Twitter and Facebook there is an option in…

Professionalism and Social Media The use of social media can have a considerable impact on the health of nurses both in the working environment and on an individual level. Both negative and positive outcomes come as a result of using social media for nurses, particularly concerning health implications. Some of the posts and conversations personally that I have had an encounter with, especially on Facebook and Instagram is in the incidence of the perpetuation of negative societal patterns of behavior in the shared information. Most people are unaware of the social media impact on their feeling of identity (Westrick, 2016). A good example that I had an encounter with is the incidence of some individuals posting pictures of obese individuals and making fun of how they look. Concerning the standards of nursing ridiculing along with making fun of people that are in health conditions such as obese individuals in totally unethical since it violates the ethical principals of healthcare such as nonmaleficence which means to not harm and in this case, the patient sense of identity gets damaged in…
Social Media or Cable News in American Democracy Functioning It is correct to establish that the use of social media has changed the perspectives of individuals through its effects on contemporary democracy within America. It can be found that the use of social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter hinder contemporary democracy within the United States. The perspective taken towards social media was developed towards promoting democratic ideas and making the elections within the United States adhere to contemporary concepts. However, it is correct to indicate that the user account breaches, fake news developed, and effect in the influence on campaigns it played, primarily in the presidential election in 2016, hindered the democratic benchmark of popular sovereignty (Birgenheier Ch 3). The polls within the United States would not be depicted to be free and fair through the effect Facebook had on the voters. Furthermore, on the other hand, cable news such as CNN and Fox News have tremendously strengthened then benchmarks of democracy within America. For instance, CNN shows that help to highlight the nature of politics in America…
Social Media Matters How might marketing practice have evolved if the technology that existed in 1990 was still the prevailing technology of today? Before the introduction of social media and technology, organizations used to engage in marketing practice. If the technology that existed in the past was still evident today, marketing practices would have embraced purpose, delivery, and ownership. Marketers would desire to have an in-depth understanding of the problem and insight in order to develop an effective purpose that addresses the identified problem. The company would also have embraced a transformational mode of marketing through active communication and action as well as revolutionary models of production and provision of services (Durmaz & Efendioglu, 2016) Organizations would engage in in-depth marketing research in order to benefit from marketing opportunities and insight. Invention strategies would be focused more on position differentiation and targeting in order to stand apart from competitors by creating experiences that are tailored to consumer needs and experiences. In such circumstances, competition, imagination, and hard work would prevail to ensure continuous diversification of channels. Organizations would be engaged…
The use of social media in Advertising Introduction The use of social media advertising as a marketing tool has been on the rise. As of 2019, it was estimated that a total of 3.196 billion people, which is 42% of the global population are active social media users. This is a trend that has been on the rise. This is further projected to rise at an estimated cumulative annual growth rate (CAGR) of 14.1% to 2023, leading to an expected increase of users to over 17 Billion users (Market Watch, 2019). The above social media use and growth trends have necessitated its use and adoption in marketing. As Whitelock, Cadogan, Okazaki and Taylor (2013) demonstrated, entities are gradually shifting towards the use of social media as not only their supplementary but also their main and core marketing strategies and tools. This is a trend that is projected to rise and expand into the future, as social media use and popularity increases. The proposed study is an investigation of the manner and context of social media use as an advertising tool.…
abolishment of social media and electronics The world is facing a growing g problem on social media and electronics. Electronics and social media were once considered a world treasure, but now it’s the primary cause of obesity, inadequate communication, and lack of imagination and concentration among the youth. The youth spends many hours scrolling through their social media platforms, watching television shows, and playing video games, which has indeed corrupted their mind and turned them into dull robots. Facebook has drained the intelligence of the youth resulting in the use of instant communication jargon such as OMG and LOL. A teenager will spend the whole day indoors, updating their Instagram and Twitter status every two minutes. Video games have limited the imagination of youths. Their lives have been turned to those of robots that only move with a press of a button. To end his crisis, I propose the abolishment of social media and electronics, at least among the youth, which will save humanity, making the child more responsive, intelligent, and exciting kind. With government intervention, it is possible to…
