Being a management student who is constantly looking for opportunities of self-development, I can bolster my argument that knowledge is the best thing a person can invest in. Governance in the Public Administration Context Introduction The perception and superlative model of statesmanship move down from ancient times to contemporary times. Over the years, the concept has been married to public administration over time, but contention remains on whether they are indistinguishable. Statesmanship is appearing to be incongruent with the whole concept of public administration, mainly because of the changing role of the state in modern-day governance (Newell, 2012). This discourse shall seek to construct a paradigm of Public Administration Statesmanship; it will also address the challenges that face public administration organization is the present day and lastly synthesize these challenges with the covenantal models of statesmanship, leadership and organizational behavior. A Paradigm of Public Administration Statesmanship It is agreeable that the concept of paradigm can now qualify to be among the overused words. However, it will still be used in this discourse owing to the fat that Kuyini & Kivunja (2017), posits that it is an instrumental concept that seeks to convey the arena of identity and the changing subtleties of the same identity. Notably, paradigmatic questions are…

Self-Reflection of the First Semester The first semester of this academic year has been fantastic, educational, and allowed me to learn a lot of new things I was not aware of. I have taken time to analyze the steps that I have made towards the achievement of not only my course objectives but also my broader goals in life. This reflection serves as a way of exercising my introspection and to show that I am willing to become more aware of my purpose and nature. Without such self-analysis once in a while, then I would be walking blindly into the different phases, and that poses the danger of not realizing my full potential. In the self-reflection, I have revisited my goals in life, both in the short term and in the long run, and the necessary steps that I have taken or I should take. What’s more, I have taken a look at my success, mishaps, what to do differently in the upcoming semester, steps I have decided to correct my mistakes, and more strategies on how to achieve my…
Public defenders Part 1 Public defenders are lawyers who are appointed to represent those people who cannot afford to hire a lawyer. Their role came about after an amendment of the sixth Bill of Rights in the united states constitution. The change was ruled out in 1963, and it stated that the government should provide free defendants during criminal cases. It was after this constitutional amendment that many countries started providing legal counselors during case hearing in court. They all work at the expense of the State in the office of the public defender’s office. They are appointed by the court and assigned the case they are going to work on. They engage in a lot of trials, and this sometimes affects their working in the court of law. According to research taken, one public defendant may handle one thousand cases a year, which is equivalent to three instances a day. Still, according to the StateStateState, they should handle only 150 cases. This shows they are much pressured and sometimes underpaid by the government since the work they engage in…

Open Forum Throughout the course, I have learned and acquired critical knowledge regarding finding credible sources to use in my assignments and annotated bibliography. I have learned how to determine if a source is credible or not. When it comes to assessing the credibility of academic sources, various factors must be considered. Firstly, a credible source contains materials published less than ten years (Yancey, 2016). This indicated that materials in the source are updated. Secondly, the authors of the research materials or articles must be well-known as well as respected (Yancey, 2016). A research article without an author is considered incredible and should not be used in an annotated bibliography or when writing research work. Also, a source is considered credible if it involves websites registered under educational together with government institutions such as edu and gov. also important, Google Scholar contains credible sources (Yancey, 2016). In my annotated bibliography, I have been using Google Scholar. This is have helped me write an excellent annotated bibliography.
