Open and Closed Systems The open system presents with a higher degree of interaction with the environment while the closed system has relatively low interactions with the situation. For instance, the living organisms rarely interact with other systems outside the ecosystem as they take the most necessary substances fro their environment such as food, oxygen and it is the same environment where they return certain substances like carbon dioxide after inhaling oxygen. Some organization consumes raw materials while producing goods to emit pollution among the finished products (Ryan, 2019). A watch as a closed system hardly interacts with the environment. A watch is self-contained, self-maintain with no environmental exchanges. The entire systems have boundaries, as it presents in mechanical systems, and less apparent in social networks. However, the limits of open systems are flexible as opposed to the closed systems, owing to the increased interactions with the environment. According to the closed system, an organization is independent of the influence of the environment. In contrast, the closed system has been approached as conceiving an organization as a system of management,…
Needs of the School-Aged Children The needs of the school-age children can be categorized into; intellectual needs, social needs, emotional needs and physical needs. Examples of physical needs are clothing, food, shelter, sleep, physical activities, physical space and exercise. An example of an intellectual need is literacy, discipline and guidance. School going children belonging to the given age bracket should get love and attention from the relevant people. The love and affection are examples of emotional needs. When conducting the physical assessment of the specific age bracket, the age and the development stage of the child should be considered, unlike other age groups. The health care attendant should use a communication style that favours the needs of the child, unlike when assessing other age groups. Lastly, the health care attendant should be able to accommodate the behaviour of the child. This is important in this age bracket as it ensures that the child is comfortable during the treatment process. There are four assessment techniques which include; palpation, inspection, percussion and auscultation. These four techniques can be modified to match different…
role of artificial intelligence in enhancing learning Studies have focused on different areas of artificial intelligence since its inception. Recent research has explored the role of artificial intelligence in enhancing learning, with some studies evaluating if social robots can improve learning among children. Shiomi et al. (2015), for instance, explored whether social robots can arouse scientific interest in classrooms. By interacting with Robovie, a social robot, many children asked the robot scientific questions, but there was no significant stimulation of scientific curiosity among the children participants. Komatsubara (2014) investigated if social robots can enhance scientific knowledge among children in classrooms. A robot was installed in an elementary school where children could interact with it and take questions from it. The findings of the study showed that the robot did not produce significant improvement in understanding science among children. Kanero (2018) reviewed studies about the interaction between children and robots to identify how social robots can be used to improve language learning. The research concluded that social robots are fruitful in teaching language in children but are not as productive as…
The use of flipped learning Introduction Flipped classroom teaching has turned out to be a significant trend in recent years in the education sector, though there remain substantial challenges while persuading some teachers to adopt the method. The increasing approach referred to as flipped learning has increased the attention of policymakers and educators, especially in the university of Hong Kong, to implement flipped classroom teaching enthusiastically, and they have encouraged the method to be used. However, He et al. (2016) argued that the essence of using flipped learning is purposely for stage learning on new materials before the start of class and freeing up the time in class for more practice, explanation, and production use of knowledge. In my opinion, I do agree with He et al. (2016) argument, but the flipped classroom gives a way of altering the traditional pattern of teaching and learning. Again, with faculty posting their class lecture materials online for students to read so that they may use class time for problem-solving, hand-on application and assessment are much more precise. According to He et al.…

The handling of technology devices in the university classroom has both positive and negative impacts. Technology in university Technology devices help solve tedious tasks. Technology devices help to solve tedious tasks very quickly. With reliable university Wi-Fi, it is easy to stream and get solutions to assignments from the internet. The only way a student can access the internet while in the classroom is by using his phone or laptop. An added advantage of using technology is some of the updated information not found in the books is on the websites. (“8 High-Tech Gadgets That Are Making Classrooms Smarter,” n.d.) Addiction of students relying on the internet to handle their assignments is not always the best idea. Economics of Unions The strike that involved 125 000 teachers in Ontario is a good example of how unions can impact the relations between employees and employers. During the strike, around 5,000 schools were closed. The objective of the four unions whose members were teachers based in Ontario was to send a message to the Ontario government regarding their views on the reduction of funding of schools. The low funding and big classes were key issues that made the teachers strike. This case is also an eye-opener related to industrial relations in Canada. The industrial relation was widely used during World War II. The two reasons for its use are various war-time industries and the application of PC 1003 under the Federal Cabinet (Riddell, 1993). The Order-in-Council initiated the adoption of a model of industrial relations that was followed in Canada. The fundamental provisions of this model were the procedure of certification of unions and the responsibility for an employer during collective bargaining. In its broadest meaning, industrial revolutions entail all aspects that cover the relationship between employees and employers.…
