Ethical legal and professional issues following the case study of Marie and Tom In healthcare, duty of care is the core value that defines nursing. In this case, it incorporates observation to legal, professional, and ethical duties that, combined, result in quality care that has optimal patient satisfaction. As studies by Ashalata (2017) suggest, nurses must prioritize people, which means that they are bound to ensure patient safety, problem recognition, and timely response to their concerns. In fact, further studies suggest that during undergraduate and postgraduate studies, nursing practitioners are frequently informed that in nursing care, they remain accountable for their actions such as omissions and poor procedural care (Iwan, 2017). Further, it is noted that nurses need to foresee consequences associated with their actions as any discrepancy or breach of their duty is subject to legal consequences. Notably, to avoid compromising the practice of their licensure or being candidates of malpractice suit, nurses need to realize their legal responsibilities such as patient advocacy, practice act, and patient neglect, among others (Diwan, 2017). Equally, it is of great importance that…

The journal also describes the research findings of professional bodies such as JTA (Job Tasks Analysis) and NCCHWC (National Consortium for Credentialing Health and Awareness Coaches) on what health coaching best practices. The journal was easily retrievable from the National Center for Biotechnology Information database. The information it contains is vital to health wellness coaches as it defines their roles and emerging standard practices. Professional Association American Council on Exercise. (2017). Issue Review: Should the United States make College Education free? Economics According to the World Bank, economic growth and education have a strong positive correlation. It is the level of education that creates differences in the labor market earnings. A highly educated individual would automatically earn more than a non-educated person. Statistics indicate that individuals with only a high school certificate are more prone to unemployment than their colleagues with a bachelor’s degree, and the trend is sustained either way. Implementing free college education would, therefore, increase the number of individuals attaining higher levels of learning, which would translate to improved labor market earnings. However, care should be taken not to plunge the country into an unemployment crisis while trying to offer free education for all. Whereas it is an excellent idea to make college education free and accessible for all, the government should be prepared to create exceedingly many job opportunities to make use of the generated human resources. The failure to tab the skills offered by the learned group could lead to social and economic mischievousness. Most unemployed…
Increasing Self-Feeding in Children Initial Reaction to the Intervention The article describes an experiment conducted on a six-year-old Jerod who struggles with food selectivity. Like many other children, Jerod finds it challenging to have a liking for particular foods. In this case, Jerod was subjected to pureed peas, a food which he did not like (Vaz, Volkert, & Piazza, 2011). Essentially, this piece of investigation implemented the use of negative reinforcement by influencing Jerod to take a bite of the target food, including a bite of avoidance foods whenever he refused to feed himself on one bite. Naturally, a six-year-old does not have the authority to make a choice more so in matters of food. He or she may not like a given food, however, the food might be peppered with adequate nutrients for the child’s growth. As such, they can be soothed or rewarded positively when they take the food they hate. A major concern was the intervention method deployed by the researchers. By using a Nuk to feed forcefully feed the boy on target food whenever he failed…
Innocence Project Introduction The United States records the biggest number of prisoners in the world, with over two million people incarcerated. This is a result of changes in law and sentencing policy, including longer jail terms (Laporte). However, not all people in prison are guilty; some were wrongfully convicted for wrongdoings had nothing to do with. According to the Innocence Project, 2.3%- 5% of the inmates in the US were erroneously convicted (About). The Innocence Project goes a long way in ending cases of unjust incarceration in the US and improve the criminal justice system to be the better. This paper looks at some of the ways it has succeeded in this endeavor. The paper will first give an overview of the Innocence Project, cite some of the criticisms leveled against it, and then give the rationale for the project. The paper will provide some of the factors contributing to wrongful convictions as cited by the Innocence Project and the suggestions it offers towards ensuring that no one is sent to jail undeservedly. The Innocence Project The Innocence Project is…

A Reflection of My Journey With Reading And Writing Every single step that we take in life has challenges that may either inspire us to try harder or make us quit because of the hardships encountered (Evers, Lisa, and Sharon, 465). My reading and writing journey, too, has not been a walk in the park. I come from a humble background in the rural areas. My parents were uneducated, and as a result, they did not have a lot of information on what reading and writing entailed. However, they were very passionate about reading and writing, and they were ready to give me any support that I needed. My reading and writing journey began even before joining the school. When I was young, seeing my siblings go and come back from school made me admire to join the school so that I could also be reading. My parents were aware of my passion, and as a result, this necessitated them to buy me books that contained short stories. After reading to me the stories in the books, they would, in…

Effects of Technology on Elementary School Students The world today harbors swift technological development that touches all circles of life. The technological development that affects education comes in different ways, including cellphone, internet, and general technological development. In the pursuit to smoothen operations, sectors, including the education sector, integrates technology into their use. Also, learners independently engage the use of technology in their life. Any approach to using technology generates a stream of effects, both positive and negative. This paper explores how cellphones, internet, and the broad technologies impact the learning process of elementary school students. Impacts of Cellphones Negative Effects of Cellphones The invention of cellphone takes a significant share of the effects on expertise on elementary students. Analysis of the impact indicates more disadvantages than benefits. Firstly, during class sessions, Cellphones interfere with the process both on the side of the teacher and the students. In Jessica (2018) work, a study on the effects of the phones on human behavior reveals that despite the phones reduce the overall attention of learners, in the long-term, they also lower the…
LETTER OF CONTINUED INTEREST The Admission Committee, Rice University, 6100 Main St. Anderson Hall, MS-50 Houston, TX 77005-1827 USA Dear Admission Committee, I must admit that I was disappointed when I learned that I was deferred to Regular Decision, but being an owl, giving up isn’t an option. However, this shows the faith that the admission committee has in my application. I hereby write this to reaffirm my interest in Rice University. I devoted my time to explore my love and passion for architecture and art, and surprisingly I learned that I still have an extensive research area to undertake at Rice. As a way of catching up with what’s happening at the Rice School of Architecture, I followed the school Instagram account, and I was impressed with most of the projects. I was particularly drawn to Professor Carlos Jimenez’s Class, where students were tasked with designing an immigration Center in Houston. One peculiar thing that was visually appealing, and invoked even a greater motivation to join Rice School of Architecture was the Greek architecture .The Greek produced aesthetically…
