Technology as a threat to communication in learning My literacy practices comprise of different means I use written language in daily activities. Literacy practices that interest me include article writing, newspaper reading, and communication with my lecturers and peers. Implications of equal protection for English Language Learners English Language Learners (ELL) is a universally accepted term in the K-12 system; it refers to national-origin-minority students who are not currently proficient in English. The foreign population of America has been increasing over the years, consequently leading to diversity in the population of students. This group of students is complex: the students differ in their cultural backgrounds, proficiency in English, academic performance, immigration status, socioeconomic status, assimilation, and other aspects (National Council of Teachers of English, 2008). School shootings School shootings have increasingly been on the rise, making it necessary for us to unravel the perpetrators to understand them better and prevent the occasions from taking place.
